Cute chick! Hey, I knew nothing about the tornado sirens being tested today. So I'm standing outside staring at the sky wondering why the heck we have a tornado warning. Then I called my mom and she laughed at me and said I need the weather channel app for my phone. No, I don't.

I work at a Day Treatment Program for teens with Anger and Mental Health Problems...

When I say no they tend to throw fits... Sometimes it is really hard not to laugh. I tend to smile a lot, it frustrates the teens.

hello... crappy day at work... anyone in Madison area know anyone looking for Accounts Receivables job? Trying to hire for this one but shooting blanks!

Anyway... gratuitous cute kid with chick pick. Yes I have twins but dd5 is so my chicken whisperer and plays with them all day every day, my ds5 only once in a while.. so more pics with her and chicks. This is ewok the bantam leghorn (another pic to follow for some thoughts H&R) and Leah ( yes as in princess and is a bantam EE) who I am leaning towards roo, although these were my first with tail feathers. Leah was one of my first with a comb ( rose) and she has patterned beautifully but there is one rust patch developing really tiny on one of her wings... We will wait and see... she might become a luke.

Kristi.. I am gonna call you.. I have DONE accounts receivable!! I love calling people and makin them pay!! tee hee!! And then I am gonna put a light bulb above your head to show you, you should have had that idea to hire me!!

Put 31 runner ducks in lockdown. 3 goose eggs and about 5 EE/BA or LO mixes. Didn't candle cause my candler is outside in the coop by the muscovies. I'll sneak a peak tomorrow. About 21 more runners go in 4 days from now.
I'm hatching them for my farrier. If they all hatch I'm going to keep some though.
The geese are from my pair of mixed geese.
I have 10 white chinese eggs now but my Sebastapols aren't laying.

Found another guinea nest. Counted 45 eggs the other day and I see there are more in it today.

Jim those are cute puppies !! I liked the link BL4 posted. Right on the money !! They are not a dog for just anyone. They have a mind of their own, speaking from experience here and the Great Pyrenees suppose to be a bit calmer and I can tell you they do have a mind of their own. Hope all the pups take after Nora. She sure is a sweetheart !!! Yes please please don't bring any pups that you are selling to the bash !!! But if you're keeping one for yourself, please please do bring it !!!!

More to reply to but I'm beat. I actually spent a good amount of time outside today watching the ducks in the pond, the pigs teasing the donkeys and tons of just putzing ! Fresh air (even if it was cold) poops me out !!

I just came in from a midnight visit to the brooders.. the older chicks were out of water.. IDK.. I can't believe they drank it all.. I suspect a leaky waterer. and I took another brand new bulb out to add for more heat.. d@mned thing,, right out of the box and it didn't turn on.. my feet are wet and I am chilled..

Ken , I caught it too, but I had more class than to mention it.. my advice would be to separate your thoughts , or start a new paragraph..

can Corona in a clear bottle be considered a man's rose ? close enough for me, I say..
anyway, I feel like I should pluck one and then retire for the night..

Afternoon All!
I had a dental appointment this morning in Madison. Cleaning and replacing my last old filling. My mouth is numb on one side so eating is interesting and I should have found a straw to drink from. I think I'm wearing more Sweet Tea then actually drinking it! LOL!

The critters are all well and I've got the bunnies and chickens all battoned down for the storm. I hear a little thunder now....
Thanks for all the well wished for Emmie. I have a message from the vet. The CBC blood clotted so now CBC, put the urinalysis came back with some abnormalities. Elevated liver enzymes so I need to call them back.

TO-I like that black horse. He's got a kind eye. The Chestnut looks a little more determined.

DrH-Yeah...I have to laugh at BTB antics too. It'd either that or cry.....

MLH- I may PM this to you as well to ensure you get the information.. Is there a way to observe your little dog when he urinates?? The main reason I ask is I am hearing the warning bells go off in my head. We had a wonderful old cocker we adopted, and he was a little off and we had a room dedicated for our dogs to go potty in, and we found cloudy urine. I took him to the vet who ran the same tests yours has. AND he found similar things yours has found. It wasn't until him go a little more down hill. And more tests came back and he was found to have end stage liver disease.. He went downhill really fast and slept 23 out of 24 hours his last day with us. This isn't to scare you... just ask your vet.. AND ensure you don't feed dehydrated chicken or duck breasts it can lead to kidney and liver issues

FT- he was too tame for our TO! And he didn't have a gait she liked.. and welll If you go take a LONG look at his rear fetlocks were VERY LOW, even when just led around. He must have a ligment or tendon problem, if he doen't have an issue now... he will
