Fatso is home! He has to go back tomorrow, but he is home for the evening so that he is less stressed out and eats more that a teaspoon of food. I got him to eat about a tablespoon so far. I'll try again before I go to bed. He still feels like garbage, but that is to be expected until his glucose and liver enzymes return to normal.

The really ROTTEN thing I have to report is that the band teacher is LEAVING! This was her first year here and she has been FANTASTIC!!!!! These kids have been through the wringer with band teachers, in 5 years they have had 4 different teachers..... and now they get another new one. They really liked this one, she won them all over..... there was a lot of crying at the school today, and now all of my kids want to quit. I wonder what the heck is going on over at this school sometimes, and if there will be any kids left in band next year.

My calls decided to go on a little flight around the neighborhood this evening.... and for a reward they are now grounded.

I have a few photos from my trip to High Cliff, but I think I want to wait to show them..... I would like to see all of them first and pick out a good one.

Mazo... You should do lots of finger crossing! I had to toss a few more last night. I'm just so nervous that no others will hatch. Then our new baby will be all alone. I don't have any pictures yet. It's still in the Bator all by itself, chirping away. But I couldn't stand it and had to go hold it. I am so in love!!! Your girlfriend will die when she sees one!

good eve, the captured peahen layed egg #3 today.. I want to put her into the small lean to so that we can maybe get her boyfriend to go in with her.. that will mean that about 15 chickens will have to find a new place to roost.. In the chicken coop perhaps? all of the turkeys roost in the chicken coop.. what a F*&^ed up operation I am running here..

did I mention that the second cockatiel egg hatched ? Annie located two more BIG bird cages.. I am picking them up tomorrow.. TerriO, do you think the cage we have is too small for 5 birds ? Me neither.. I swear, one of these days a couple of those birds are going to "escape" out the patio door.. and they can take the guinea pig with them..

I noticed that one of the buff geese was not with the other 3 tonight.. I am hoping that it was hanging with the adult greys..

BIL is bringing my large live trap back tomorrow,,(if he doesn't forget)

I didn't actually do much today.. but I did a lot of planning in my head.. I am so tempted to plant the corn, but I know in my heart that it is still too early.. so I decided to wait until the potatoes are up.. that will give me about another week..

I know I had some comments.. blank blank blank.. maybe a corona will jog my mind..

Hopefully one day you'll see your bear! Hearing coyotes howling at night is about my speed. Thrills me to pieces whenever I hear them ...usually while camping.

BigFam, I have been a photographer and interested in photography for a very long time (I was on yearbook staff in HS and did a lot of photography and film development). I have many many many pictures but nothing that I have entered into contests like Amyable since I do not have the editing software that I would like to have. Since I am always the person behind the lens, there are few pictures of me. I have a friend who is a budding photographer and since he needs practice and I need pictures..... The purpose for the last shoot was to find some locations for our next 'big' shoot with my sis and our spouses.

Morning! It's is a gorgeous sunny morning!

Not even windy today! It was a bit chilly yesterday. Hopefully today I can get out and plant another round of lettuce and spinach and finally get the celery in the ground. I love working in the garden. It makes me happy. I can't believe the peas and tatsoi that I planted back in March when we had that 80 degree weather! It's my first year planting both and I honesty thought they'd freeze out, but they didn't! The herbs are lookin' good too! I was surprised to see that the Parsley came up! I thought I'd need to replant it since I planted it so soon but it's coming out now! Dill, thyme and oregano too!

Gonna get the kids started on their schoolwork and hopefully take a nap today. I was up way too late talking on the phone to my sister in law in TN.

Morning all!
So far I've been up for 2 hours and have all my animals chores done. Except for litter boxes...those are next! For some reason the dog wanted to get up at 5-5:30 this morning. Must be the early morning light....

I'm sure the hatch is done. I have a total of 4 Iceies...Very cute....kinda big for chicks....but they are very intelligent. They just look at you with these black eyes and cock their little heads to the side and you can see the wheels turning in their little heads! So far that is not a problem...it might be when they get a few days older though! LOL!!

I have some more chicks coming from Abendroths on Monday. Actually I'm picking them up. One of the girls at my vet's office wanted to add to her flock and only wanted about 4-6 so I told her that I'd get some for her since I wanted to add a fee more to my flock or sell some started pullets. I'm getting , Australorps, BO's, Ameruacanas, Barred Rocks, and some SLW. She also needed some fertile eggs for her broody hen, so I'm getting 4 of those for her. It's been years since she brooded so I dropped off one of my brooder set ups and gave her a crash course in brooding. Oh and my phone numbers!

Well I think I'll mow the lawn again today. Geez that gets old fast... Cannot wait till mid summer and fall when the grass slows it's growing...

BF4M-Yes, you can have some Iceie chicks! WCc wanted some too. I figure 2 and 2. If she still wants them that is. Im sure they will be all roosters...LOL!! How about $3 buck a chick? Does that sound fair?

Good Sunny Morning Everybody! Amy Cartman's first name is Eric. Very cool pics everyone! A lot of hatchin goin on and some losses. It's the circle. Just started a fire, cold in here. What a day yesterday! Didn't get all my seeds in, BFF came over and interupted, and made me drink beer. He brought me a half doz morels gotta love the man! Got another surrprise went to get the eggs and found 2 small pullet eggs in a nest along with 2 regular eggs.

Didn't expect to see any till next month. Peatwo caught Jack in the run and put him in his place. Was glad to see it. Then last night when I was trying to get him in the coop he took off in the woods and when he came out he was limping. Think he might be Sunday dinner. Gonna finish gettin the seeds in this morning then mow after it dries out. Might get the boat in the garage and get that together too. Laura reminded me that today is my birthday by giving me a card and 2 vanilla Bun bars. Those are my favorite! Okay EVERYBODY sing!
