Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

So... I've been in deep thought and have came to realize that I have no idea what to do with all my roos! I mean out of 20 straight runs, in likelyhood, I'll have 10 roos out of that. I know that I will probably have to cull them, but I wouldn't want to do it myself... Should I put them up on craigslist for free? Or will it not get any interest? xD I mean, if I had a couple roos that got along I'd be fine keeping them. On 60+ acres of land crowing isn't an issue. I just don't want fighting! I have 2 buildings that are suitable for chickens. One being a large chicken coop(We used to keep 50 hens in there easily) with a big run, and a large outdoor dog fence, which has a probably 5 x 4ft steel building. It would be lovely if they could all go in the large coop, but I'm not sure if my bantams would get bullied. Help me! haha.

If anyone wants a mottled lavender rooster I have 3 cockerels here I will give away. Otherwise, they join the meat birds in August. I also still have the barnevelders and will have gold laced orpington roos to get rid of in a month.

I have a hen that drops a "no sheller' (or just a membrane) every 10 days to 2 weeks. Rest of the time she is fine. Is that your mass?

I just came in from my kitchen garden and my tomatoes plants have potatoe beetles

BUT there is something weirdly satisfying about picking them off and feeding them to my hens

Need some advice: That hen that I mentioned that is a lil off? well today she is just laying around listless. She seems to have no energy and is sleeping. When I look at her bottom, she seems to have had poop on her backend. Would it stress her out to much to try wash this off in a kiddie pool? Shes a black orpington so has the major fluff butt going on.

No idea what the issue is.....could it be egg bound? How do you treat that? Does it do any good to pull her away from the rest of the coop at this point? I have sulmet and wyazine here....no other antibiotics. And I hate treating when I dont know what the issue even is. Could she have eaten something bad? I feed them eggs, yogurt this week.......Any suggestions?

well it seems like a good day to inside work and watch a movie with DD. Got the garden completely cultivated yesterday and it looks wonderful. We still have to do an upper garden, but DGF missed a spot on my lower back and it got fried, so in the AC we shall stay. I am only going outside to freshen some water for the ladies and the goat! Bragging altert, We jumped the gun and planted early, but are reaping the rewards already, peas and lettuce everyday, radishes are way past done, turnips are huge and were wonderful roasted with potatoes last night. We already have some peppers and tomatoes on the plantsl

Hope you all have all have a wonderful day,

Joe

FT I was just trying to make a point that everyone has their own opinions and their own "line" drawn that's all. I get tired of, never mind... All the people on here obviously love their birds which translates into loving and respecting all living things. To a point or "line". Sorry if I "upset" anyone! Really honest!

Forgot to say neat babies GR65! FT I sincerely hope that something can be done for that poor horse!

It's just so wrong for any animal to go through that!

I know some so called humans that should, Oh there's my line. Careful Dan those innocent deer can turn in a heart beat! Hope your hatching improves!
