Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

My fun day: no video games or tv till the required cleaning is done. The children hate to help, and I hate picking up their sh!t. As you can imagine, my house is a mess. I have 2 boys working on bathrooms. I have one doing a stove top. Another is apparently on a permanent break since I'm not breathing down his neck. I guess it's time for some heavy breathing...

We just had one of those days too! We just added a new chore- emptying out the dishwasher for my DS9. Hate that they are growing up so fast, but nice that they are able to help

did you forget ? wasn't it heavy breathing that brought you all those boys??

Oh boy, just got hit by a big storm.

Over 1/2" rain in just a few minutes, unfortunately it wasn't just rain. Sky is still rumbling so I won't be able to check on the full extent of the hail damage on the gardens til it settles down. All my beautiful tomatoes that were days from ripe
hit.gif
Had a feeling we were going to get wet so I had just put the girls back into the run and closed up my greenhouse at least. Oh well, don't have to worry so much about all the canning and what to do with the giant zucchinis. Just crossing my fingers my herbs weren't too badly shredded to dehydrate.

lots of rumbling going on to the N and to the E of us.. no rain yet.. I remember one year we had hail and it drove some of those hail stones half way through some 4 and 5 inch dia zuccinnis..

got the chickens all fed.. Nephew decided to postpone watering his garden, since it looks like it will rain here soon..

I found plucker fingers on Ebay for $56.oo for 125 .. plus $12.oo shipping.. that is the best price I found so far.. be careful, the same company has them listed as 99 cents each also.. plus shipping... they say they are good for about 8000 chickens..

the boss just came home,, gotta go see what she brought for me..

Cool on your new friend Carol! Sorry I was short the other day on the phone...so hard to talk at work! DId you end up with the buckskin or did "sense" prevail? LOL! Just teasin' ya...
I was going to say the same thing to BigFam Jim! Too funny! There was another thing posted on FB that had a chore list under the statement "Today's computer password" I thought that was a good idea! In fact I might have DH add a password to our internet...

THis morning I had a wonderful post all done and I went to submit in a hurry because my friend had arrived...yeah, I dont know what I did but it disappeared and I was signed out! All I remember was sliding the mouse to the right and down and "poof!" GONE! So..good morning and good afternoon to all!

Vicki--ANOTHER storm!

You guys sure are getting hit up there! I hope your tomatoes and herbs are OK. Speaking of: I pinched back the basil yesterday and rinsed it and put it in a bag with paper toweling in the fridge until today, when I had hoped to make some pesto...I just bought some more basil plants at the farmers' market this afternoon and went to add some to the bag. Dam^ stuff turned black in my fridge!!!

I am sure the kids turned it down again!!! Well, I guess they just wont have any pesto for their noodles now will they? Basil is just so darn sensitive...that parsley and cilantro are JUST FINE!

Man, I am starving...I think I will eat something...then get the loader and clean out the barn--OH JOY! Later all! Terri O

Hi redneckrabbitry
frow.gif
I am just a hop skip and a jump from you. I live a couple miles off the interstate near Eau Claire. I have family in Jackson Co and an ex also in Jackson Co.

BL4 it seems like people really step to new lows when they are fighting against a few chickens in
th.gif
town,

When Eau Claire was trying to get the new ordinance passed the editorial page of the newspaper was so onesided it was ridiculus. I swear the people pro chicken were all fictitious, they sounded so hillbillyish and backwards it was just stupid! It would have made a good comedy if it wasnt so maddening. I hope and pray you have a more level headed crowd on your city councel.

ETS RNR now that you say you have pigeons I have the sneaky feeling that I have met you!!!!

Evening all!

Welcome RNR!!! Glad you stopped in!

TO-OMG! That goat was hilarious! All I kept thinking was "That is a goat version of Bubba!!!" LOL!!

Carol-How old is that Silkie? Does her head smell funkie? You can clean her up and use VetRx to help keep her air ways clear. She could have a few things. CRD or Mycoplasma that is treatable with Tylan. But in a chick the treatment is to hard on them. Try tetracycline-the one that is the oxytetracycline variety aka Teramycin. Sorry about the miss spellings!
If she looks like she has an injury then treat here with a good eye flush and some antibiotic opthalmic ointment.

In chicken math bantams count as 1/2 a chicken. If they are laying. If they are not laying then they don't count. If the bantams are Seramas. Seramas count as a 1/4 of a chicken if they are laying. As always roosters, chicks, juveniles, and hens in Henopause don't count!
LOL!!!! Sorry I just had to be a smart mouth!!!!

Well, not much going on today. I feel better in a way but now I feel just run down. Going to get to bed early tonight and see if that helps. Trying to stay up to watch the Olympics is catching up to me!
Tomorrow I need to get to the market and also get some shavings for the Doe Domicile. They made a mess! I have not idea what they are doing or why but they are getting rather creative with making little pathways in their shavings. I move it all back into a nice smooth "floor" and then when I go to give them their afternoon treat they have made little pathways again! Silly things!

Off I go! Nightie Night all!

ETA: Happy B-day to your DH! Hope you had a nice dinner!
