Finally have the tree ALMOST all decorated (yes it is a long process). The oldest DD would like to do a 'theme' tree. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer the colored lights and the eclectic assortment off all types of ornaments.

Sent the kids out to shovel, they decided a snowball fight would be great AND shovel! So I made a big batch of Hot Chocolate (actually made the chocolate sauce with cocoa powder too), and had the mini-marshmallows ready when they came in. Had chili and some buttermilk cornbread for dinner, perfect for a snowy day.

My last eye appointment for my Lasik is tomorrow morning. It has been one year.... I can hardly believe it! They will let me know if they need to do any further corrections since they will now consider the eye to be completely healed. I wish I had 20/20 or better in both eyes, but I am satisfied with the outcome. I can see! That is all that is really important.

I get to test out the Jetta in the snow tomorrow..... everyone better behave on the roads.......

DrH.... Cool that that "the kids" are making an effort to get along with Taz...They may never be "besties" but at least they'll learn to live together.

Casie.... Got to love a hen's fuzzy but!

TO... Hope the chimney is working well... cheaper heat! Yea, I think we would all love that place.... just need a couple of little things to do it....Like, half a mill. or so?

Jim... I thought you had a wood burner in the garage?

Hurley... glad the chickens got a clean bill on the test!

Josh... 7 Mile Fair has gotten hard for me to walk, so I haven't been there in a while, but my son has gotten chickens there spring through fall. They have a big indoor space but I think poultry is outside only. So not in winter. It's on 7 mile road between Milwaukee and Racine. You can Google it I'm sure.

No snow here... just rain. The girls were in and out between showers, but mostly in! The 2 Tom turkeys decided to go at it today. I would like to 2 groups but don't have the room. Jim, how bad will 2 Toms go at it? I have them separated for now but can't keep the one where he is.

Hopping to get the tree up soon

nothing too fancy.... plastic ornaments and some lights I think. Too many cats to go too fancy!
