Stupid BYC won't let me post certain pics. Anyway, I got these girls from Bigfam so I do not know their lineage. I have heard that they do not breed true? It makes sense since the 3 I have are all different looking. 2 have very nice lacing throughout, while the 3rd is almost all black. And the 2 with the lacing have different shades of "gold" from each other. This is the lighter one.
I do not have a gold laced roo.

Candled my NYD eggs tonight, they all look good so far. Put another 14 in the bator.
Think I'll get a fire going, had enough of cold and damp for today. So weird to see green grass in December.

You candled already? I try so hard to stay out of the bator for 7 days. One of these days I am going to get a real one and I will not be so insecure about hands off and temp changes.

I was adding eggs, so yeah, checked them out. The hen gets off the eggs, can't figure it's much different.

I candled the NJ eggs I set too. Could see 6/7 with veins so far. I set 7 orp eggs a couple days later due to slow shipping. Will check those in a couple more days.
