Then to the farm to check Raggedy Ann (not sure if girl or boy) the frizzle chick with the wonky leg...

I finally slept a full night again.. but did get up 4 times to restroom... bleh...
I am starting to wonder if I am pre meno.. I was so hot last night... and had the fan/ac on.
Time to make another appt for the doc... I think she is going to be sick of seeing me....

I was reading a thread about trimming silke faces.. I think I am going to do that this weekend.. except the boys.

Great Morning Everyone! One more cup BL4 and I'll be awake. The sun is shining brightly!

Had to watch a little TV after getting home early this morning. Slept till 8:15. Prine was most excellent as always!!!!! Nekoosa was well represented as usual, about 20 people. Also ran into several people from around Amherst. The diversity of the crowd never fails to amaze me. 7-70, ditch diggers to doctors. It was great!!! So many posts so little coffee. Mitch glad to hear your doing good ya had me worried man! WCc really hope you can get back on track! The Ambien put me back into a livable pattern. I'm surprised by the number of others with the same malady! I really feel for ya all! AccioSarah that's really cool that your getting that hen. Your going to have give her a special name. Hitchhiker, gutter trash, or maybe Wino.

Bet she was pretty freaked out in that situation. Getting excited about going up north. Got a call from my up north neighbor from In. said they were going to be up there for a week and a half starting Monday. I told him we were going up Fri. and coming home Sun. I had told him before that he needed to give us a weeks notice before they went up so we could get together. Think we'll take 2 vehicles and L will come go home Sun. and I'll take the neighbor up on a beer at the local watering hole at the Pack/Bears game Mon. and come home Tues. L has to find someone to fill in for her if she wants to take vacation. That sucks! Let the kids out of jail this morning, penning them up hasn't made any difference. With the sunshine today and heavy rain predicted think it'll be a good day to build that rain cap. Have a good one!

Hello everyone! Sorry WCC I read your thread but I don't really know how to help.
Bigz- Thats a really big bear! My first year of hunting, I crossed paths with a blk bear. To me it looked huge! But my grandfather said it was on the small side. I was walking out, gun unloaded(mined you I was 13) Daydreaming when I got to the fork to go home, I looked up and saw it in front of me. I just stood there! It's one of those times where you really have a hard time processing what you are seeing. My grandpa was in sight and watched the whole thing. Thank my lucky stars the bear just looked at me and kept moving. My grandpa got down from his stand and came over to me, asked if I was alright. Asked if I wanted him to walk the rest of the way in with me, Yeah I think that would be a good idea, is all I said. It's comical now, but scary back then.

Well one of my quails has a picked head today.

Last night I heard 2 crow and thought I better seperated them. Well was going to the afternoon, guess they couldn't wait to beat each other up.

I really don't have luck with anything, beside chickens. I have the wounded one inside. Poor guy, gave him vit water. Giving him time before I fuss with him again. He was standing in the corner after he drank shivering so I put on a heat lamp and he slowly walked over to it and layed down. Eyeing me the whole time of course. So now I have to figure out what to do with the offender and then where I can get some more girls.

It's official; today is a day from Hades.....

Work is FUN ( I will not get into the details, too much to write), then went shopping with my sis who runs late. Call my DH and let him know niece will come to our house after school. Youngest DS desides to make a detour with cuz to a friends house to run the bikes off the bike jump. Of course the worst happens, niece breaks arm! My sis is still at the ER with niece, I have nephew and not looking forward to the rest of the evening!!!!

Beckyschicks just had to jump back on to say I can see your G'pa sitting there watching you walk up on that and waiting for you to see it, all the while covering your butt. Bet he was grinning! The kids just figured out the gardens are open they think their doing something bad!

Hump Evening Everyone! Doc that's pretty funny. Never thoght about the huge bear lookin like a VW bettle...quite fitting though...glad the flock was given some freedom in the garden. Bet they thought nothing but happiness...glad the prine time was sweet.
Becky, thanks for the cool story...ahhh the good times had, eh!
Carol, can't help much with your flock. Prolly make sure your flock has grit if they don't free range when you decide to feed them boss or other grains. If they free range, then the grit is only important during winter when the access to grit is gone.

Me & Suzie almost have the 6 hole nest boxes complete. Suzie helps me, cause I need the help. They are turning out kinda nice actually. I'm suprised. the hens will be pleased I think

Knowing most flocks, they will all stand in line for one nest anyway...
