I won grand champion at the fair for one of my pictures!
Awesome job!! which picture?

I've tried lots of recipes over the years and this one gets the most raves: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Moms-Zucchini-Bread/

When I make them for us I substitute half Splenda for the sugar as the hubs is pre-diabetic. And I always use olive oil instead of veg oil.
mmmm! I'm not a good baker, but I will have to give this to my ma lol

Whatever Club that would be ET can join then because that fits him to a T as well !!!! I was drinking coffee while reading your post.... Almost lost it all on the keyboard when I read your list of gadgets that are in need of repair !!! I think we would keep Jim real busy if he lived next door eh??? I can just see you with a Tom in front and back of you !!! Were you looking them eye to eye ??

You might want to keep that bad @ss roo around to give those other guys a job so they are kept busy and out of trouble. I was going to say choke cherries too..... I have them but haven't paid that much attention to them since look at them as evil. The leaves are very toxic especially when dying or dead to horses and I'm sure chickens, more worried about horses eating them if the leaves blow into my pasture. I have them all over the place but must be a different variety. Ok CC here's your homework.... I'll get a picture (bought a new camera card yesterday) and post of mine. They seem to be more on the purple side ??? Or just my memory of them ??
Our chokecherries are done here and definitely don't leaf like that plus they are darker, but you are further north and I'm sure there are many varieties. I also thought currant but knew the leaf was off.
I don't believe it !!! I just posted a whole page just for all of you that are following my medical dilemma !!! Poof.... Gone !!! Long story short !!! For real this time !!! lol My primary doc's office called to tell me that I needed to have OXYGEN when I sleep because my sleep study report from the second study done two weeks ago said my oxygen levels were between 80-89 part of the time. They should be between 90-100. So, I called the pulm doc who've I've been seeing at Marshfield clinic in Wausau. His MA said they sent the results to my doctor because the pulm said they were normal and it didn't show the Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome like the first sleep study two months ago !! So he is not pursuing the CPAP !! Did not recommend the oxygen !!! NOTHING !! I nearly lost it with her. I said I don't know what to believe now. Plus I have decreased heart function, part of a lung missing, two different diagnoses from two sleep studys and an abnormal pulm function test and he has NOTHING to recommend ???? I was hoping to feel better for the SUMMER and it's half over with. My next appointment isn't until Aug 23rd !!! She is going to have him look at the study again and she is suppose to call back. This ought to be interesting. He'll no doubt just pase the buck back to the cardiologist. I give up, then I went to pick up my diabetic test strips in Antigo yesterday.... Inurance won't pay because doc never ordered for me to test twice a day. I had filled the order on June 2, for 90 days, 90 test strips, Now because I've been testing twice a day I need more strips but can't get then until my initial rx is used up at once a day !!! So basically doc's office screwed up again. Live and learn I guess.. T Doesn't look like a very productive day around here. ET JUST now went outside........ He gets up in the moring and then goes and sleeps in the recliner !!
Go to the MAYO clinic.

and I would give my eye teeth for a pecan tree..

Yes, BBP post that award winning photo!

Judge, would you please bring your MIL over here to unleash her weed-fury on my garden?? I've never seen such a weed-free garden as yours!

Here is what these Muscovy/WH mutts are turning into. Barrish feathering, dark bills like daddy (WH), and they love the water too. They are good divers, such a hoot to watch.

OOHHH! And good news: Julie's genetic results came in and there is no 'cancer gene'! So a lumpectomy is being scheduled; it could turn into a single masectomy if they discover that the tumor is spreading to the lymph nodes. So hoping and praying for a contained tumor.

YES Quit screwing around with all of these idiots.....

Thank you all HR people, and others who have hired for all of your advice. I was asking for my coworker. She has a friend in HR who sent a copy of her personal resume...... and it is LONG; 2 pages! Small type, it is almost the interview and resume in one. My resume is pretty simple; a lot of bullet points of what I know and have been trained to do with a short opening statement and a BRIEF paragraph of my outside interests, and of course references available on request.....

That sac thingy was pretty disgusting. I am still waiting to hear what it was.

it sounds like you have done your homework though. Ever hear of Joel Salatin? He raised his kids to run their own businesses at the home farm, his son raised meat rabbits. This is a valuable learning experience you are undertaking. Bravo!

Irish, glad you made it back on here, I have seen you lurking on FB for a little while so I knew you were still kicking.... I need to find an egg supplier around here...... I am getting really sick of store bought eggs....

Nothing to report here really. I had a phone interview that I think I bombed. I completely forgot to prepare myself so I was not on the ball with examples of sticky situations etc..... oh well. I am sure there will be others.

Really tired, killed myself kickboxing tonight....... there is such satisfaction taking your frustrations out on a bag......

I will post the picture tomorrow. I was real confident that one of them going to win, and it didn't even place. The one that did win I only brought because my daughter liked it. I'll post both tomorrow and see if you can guess which one was the winner.

Chokecherry is toxic to horses, and moose, cattle, goats, deer, and other animals with segmented stomachs (rumens), especially after the leaves have wilted (such as after a frost or after branches have been broken) because wilting releases cyanide and makes the plant sweet. About 5–10 kg of foliage can be fatal. Symptoms of a horse that has been poisoned include heavy breathing, agitation, and weakness.

The fruit are about 1 cm diameter, range in color from bright red to black, with a very astringent taste, being both somewhat sour and somewhat bitter. The very ripe berries are dark in color and less astringent and more sweet than the red berries.
