OMG I LOVE this! Jim is too "chicken" and Vicky tells it like it is! I am laughing...and a dog needs to head outside...ant type while I am being stared at by eyes...Jim, soon you will be stare at by lots and lots and lots of eyes! LOL!
OK--weekend was great, not reading back until I have time (I think only 85 so not too bad) No internet at this house...it was fantastic!

I am killing off my first spotted cow in almost a month..

I think the puppies eyes should be opening this week.. it takes about 2 weeks, right ?

I am still awed at how they can find mom being blind and all.. they must do it by smell, but it is fun to watch them.. there are 4 boys and 4 girls .. even at this early age, the boys are noticeably bigger..

Puppy gives them all a good sniffing when Dora is outside doing her duties.. I don't think he quite knows what they are, yet..

I did not go back and watch the second half of the football game.. the first half was enough for me.
No contest .. t [he] y (PM) started out rattled and never recovered ..

tomorrow I am starting a small job for some people.. I am fabricating two doors for in one of their bedrooms.. I have to resize them and then fit them with old lock-sets from the olden days.. and I have to cut the hinges in to fit the existing hinges in the jambs..

Oh, there was something I was going mention.... Yesterday I found a white egg (I know, big deal) but I no longer have any hens that lay white eggs! It was cracked so I thought I'd make some eggs for the birds. Well, it was TAN on the INSIDE of the shell! Anyone else have that?

Are we going to be stuck with this weak polar vortex all through the summer?? If we end up 20-30degrees below normal , it's going to be one chilly summer!! I am so tired of this, my poor chickens !!

I would not mind a cooler summer...If it was 70 degrees all summer I would be very happy and so would the chickens..and so would the garden..
