Very busy and Very cold ! Is it almost spring??? Good to hear your all managing with the cooooold weather. Hope that shower gets hot for you, it's to cold not to have a hot shower. The pipe insulation that DrHH mentioned works for us. Never tried the tape. Off to make fudge-standing close to a warm stove is a good plan tonight. Stay warm and give lots of hugs

most wouldn't agree with me but I will not order from McMurry, both times i have its been a great disappointment, first time the birds where more cross breeds than pure, and the second the first 2 batches they sent me where all dead 25 dead chicks I never want that to happen again. Sandhill is great to order from but do not expect a certain date for delivery, you need to be as flexible as possible. and PM bigzo or the Doc for a good Delaware breeder, one of them knows one I just can't remember which one

I'm working on my order for sandhill too, a big one.

What about keeping things local and ordering from Sunnyview in Beaver Dam, or Tyler (Purely Poultry)? Anybody have luck with them? I know my MIL ordered her EE's from Sunnyview....... and the one hen lived to be 15!

Off to work again! Everyone keep off the highway!

On a serious note, the accident on 41 yesterday involved one of our truckers..... I have not checked for an update yet this AM but I am hoping all is well with the survivors.

Have a good day everyone!

TO, I do NOT envy you those frozen pipes! Been there, done that, and NEVER want to deal with it again!

Good Morning Everyone! That arrow is above the 0 mark this morning. DA The comment of the roo's being colder where they went was funny! But I'm warped! Going to try to make some custom xmas cards today, there's back up cards.

Have a good one!

Good morning! I am off to work early this AM and actually saw the sunrise! My parrots are going wild with their jungle noise so every one is up! Thanks for the advice on the pipes...I will get some of that today at Menard's. Gotta run...stay warm and have a fantastic day! Terri O

kristip There is a breeder by the name of Wayne Meredith in Mukwanago. That's not all that far from you, maybe 70 minutes or so. He has purebred Ameraucanas, and he sells eggs, chicks, pullets and roosters. He's a great guy, he's been breeding them for 50 years and he helped develop the standard for the breed. He's got some BEAUTIFUL birds. Check the Ameraucana thread for the breeders directory and you'll find his number, or PM me and I'll find it and send it back to you.

I love my ameraucanas. Great birds, gentle and very hardy. By the way, I'm located in southwest Ozaukee County.

Hey H&R...yes we're getting white eggs! Both Pistol and Sugar are laying regularly but Dottie hasn't started yet (she's the black one). I do run a big flourescent T5 fixture from 4AM-4PM and our egg production has been pretty consistent, usually 10-12 eggs daily. I love the Andalusians, they have alot of personality and really like to be around people. I don't name all my birds but these got names quick! Thanks again for the great birds.
