Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

good evening,

Annie and I did a lot of outside work,, I should have taken before and after pictures..

A Polish lady we knew used to sweeten the kraut with brown sugar,
she didn't speak English real well.. once she made a malllber cake from the box.
nobody could understand what she was talking about until her daughter found the box..
it was a marble cake mix ..

Boo, everyone... Hope everyone has had enough of Halloween, time to think about the Packer Bear game on Thanksgiving Eve... do not want to think about Sunday's game makes me a tad ill.

Glad every one is enjoying kraut... never made it but it sounds easy enough. Jim I always rinse mine too, but I just do not like the tangy taste... even pickles are a bit much for me... that part of my German heritage is lacking... And grapefruit OMG never.... ewww yuck
We saw the movie The Martian loved it, makes a person really think about things... he grew potatoes on Mars... Enjoy the cheap Saturday morning matinees
Like the Stihl trimmer "z" looks like a present for the hubby, our old Remington pole saw seems to be missing a bracket and they are no longer doing business.
Looks like the weather will be turning tomorrow, sure has been a wonderful week. The yard has 5 different types of trees and they fall at different rates. First are the Honey Locust., then aweek later the Purple Mountain Ash and they are two steps leaves and a 3-5 days later stems...next week is the Silver Maple and then finally the last tree a Norway Maple.... but we mulch and then bag and dump them on the garden and flower beds.
CYA soon!
Mom gill, I think we are twins separated at birth..

Yep Mom I can relate to all the different trees and their leaf on lives...LOL....yep the Norway Maple takes a good hard freeze to bring the leaves down. Gary would have a ball playing with this pole pruner. You still mix the oil in the gas 50:1 but the engine is 4 cycle and purrs like a true 4 cycle should. Stihl has been using this motor over 10 years.

Only 2 eggs today...the days sure are shorter now.

when you get all of your trees pruned, you can come on over and have a go at my black walnut trees.

I forgot to mention ,, we had Bambi neck roast for supper tonight with carrots and potatoes from the garden,, awesome good eating ..

Hi All!

Had country pork ribs for supper and they aren't settling too well, too much fat I think (thou I try to scrape it off).

Night All.

Hey guys!
The pullets are laying pretty well. I am surprised at egg production here. I will be moving birds to breeding pens soon. So we are ready incase I decide to hatch for the shows again next year. Once the weather gets colder the birds stick to the coop more. They are a bit crowded in there if they are not out to free range all day.
I am super excited for the BLRW next year!
I hope all is well with you guys!!

Another great weather day again. I think we are lucky to have all this great late season weather this Fall.

Yep, not a problem to come up later this fall and give those walnuts a hair cut...after gun season would be a good time to get er done.

43 years of wedded bliss here today. We are staying home and having venzun tacos....how's that for true romance....

Good to hear that others are getting a fair share of eggs. I see the neighbor has his sign out yet, so he must be collecting a few too.

I do have a bot of good stuff for after supper...

Have Fun...bigz
