Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I've never really fished pelican much. It's such big water and I never really knew where to go. I may try my luck in the next weeks there for panfish

Here's a couple of pics of the Honda's front end.

While we were working on the sunporch, the owner went fishing and brought back a bunch of walleyes .
He cooked them up real good. we ate until we couldn't anymore and there were left overs.

My dad fished the Pelican quite often. My cousin's ex-husband lived on one of the bays.

Nice Morning to everyone. Looks like the Honda held up pretty well in your crash test Jim. Hope you can find a decent replacement at a good price.

I always wanted to buy a cottage on Pelican Lake, but the falling down shacks are a small fortune. Early ice the boat landing off hwy 45 is a good place to start for walleyes and northerns when the ice is a few inches thick.

Suzies Uncle loved to fish that lake and new a lot of good spots from fishing it all the time.

Come on Spring....I can hardly wait anymore.

I have not fished there for many years.
Before my dad died, which was about 27 years ago. and even before that..
I was fishing in shallow weeds for panfish with worms for bait.
I hooked into a 26 inch walleye. I won a baseball cap at the bar
at the west side of the lake..

today I went to the VA for labs.. they made an appt at Tomah tomorrow for X-rays for my hip.
I could have gone today, but Annie said it was too late to drive that far and back.

I took Ollie for a ride. cleaned up the door to the garage. and back bladed the snow from the parking area.
I collected 8 eggs. I think Zeke beat me to them.

Just put one of my 9 pound Cornish cross hens in the pressure cooker to shred up for some enchiladas and creamy chicken soup. I'm thinking I should be shredding it in a half hours time. Got a first shift job offer at the place I worked before the current job. Kind of a big decision so I'm thinking hard. I love the idea of days. I've been on off shifts for 6 years And wouldn't mind a normal routine. It's not as good of a place to work but the perks of days might out weigh.

My bunny boarder has run into some personal problems and may have to sell most of her stock. There will probably be cages and such available as well. I'm going to miss those sweet things! Two just gave birth and several are pg - they are going to quickly outnumber the birds!

Chickens are producing like crazy! I'm getting hooked on the turkeys, too!

Interesting times here.

The owner of the company I work for passed away on Saturday. We currently are operating under the guidance of an accountant and an Attorney with plans to continue operations and eventually be sold to the highest bidder.

Funeral is this Saturday.

It will be interesting to see what happens now.

I hope everything turns out well and you won't have a monkey wrench tossed into your life! We'll keep you in our prayers! XOXO

I got a call last night about a car hit eagle. By the time I arrived he was dead. He won't go to waste though. The local Chippewa tribe will use him for ceremonies. I thought that was kind of cool. I looked online and there's a place where they can order eagles and eagle parts. It's a 2 year wait for a whole bird.
