Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Kinda funny that discussion about eating chicken, is the theme here tonight. Since I hatch my own birds, we always end up with extra cockerels .....so tonight it's roasted Buckeye cockerel with gravy, mashed potatoes, squash, and cinnamon rolls for desert. I still have a few more to enjoy....the quality of the home grown birds is why I raise chickens.....the soup is to die for...

just checking in before going to bed.

I didn't find an angle iron cut off at the steel yard, so I came home and made one out of oak.
it is glued up and in clamps until morning

I have one guinea left.. he is free to anyone who comes to pick him up..he is very tame.

hi
I almost have my sharpening jig finished.
I had to add a couple of reinforcement wedges to it to hold it at 45* angle.

this one will hold two blades at a time.
I am thinking of making one that will hold just one blade, but it will be adjustable for angle setting.

the free hind quarters of venison that I got are tainted. I had them in the freezer for one day, but I took them out when I noticed how they stunk.
IDK about some people, when it is 40F, you cannot hang a deer for two days..

going to the chiropractor today. trying to keep my head from just flopping off..

here I am, talking to myself again.

it is such a nice day, I plan to spend lots of time outside. I have just a little more clean up to do before the snow flies.

It sounds like an awesome joiner you are getting ready. I can't wait to hear what your next project will be.
We finished butchering the last of the meaty chickens today. Between turkeys and chicken our freezer is full! :drool
Egg production is picking up.
Go BIG RED!!:wee

I just finished watching the big red W lose.
It was a good game to watch, none the less.

my next project has to be to clean up my shop area. I have about a truck load of shavings to scoop up. then a lot of pieces of scrap wood to sort out for fire wood.
lots of other odds and ends of pure junk to throw out, and then maybe I will find a spot large enough to put both feet down at the same time..

I want to start getting pieces cut for the shelves I want to build..

Got both coops loaded with shavings for the winter whenever it decides to get here. Goats are also flush with shavings and we have a big round bail for them to eat on. Waiting for the hubby to get the outside cleaned up. Maybe by next year at this time, lol. I won't hold my breath. Almost time to start baking cookies and making candies. I have been crocheting up a storm for Christmas gifts.

Kinda sad that the Badgers had such a poor first half, but they ended up making a close game and chances to win.

GO PACK...even though their playoff chances are all but over...it would take a miracle for them to get in now.
