guud evenink, the turkey hens are coming into their own.. now I hope all that strutting and pomp by the toms is going to pay off..
One toulouse goose went missing tonight.. the gander is here.. I have a hunch she has a nest behind the garage.. the other pair has taken over the chicken coop.. they won't let any of the other geese in there..

I took the egg shells and litter out of the hatcher tonight.. hope that improves the air quality down here..

I have a few turkey eggs in the hatcher.. I don't think they are going to hatch.. they are the very first ones laid.. It is amaazing how the eggs add up when they come one or two per day.. I have about 20 turkey eggs set.. with the turkeys, ducks and geese, I have 68 eggs incubating.. and 5 waiting to go in..
not counting chicken eggs..

Hi everyone form the Hotel that I am scrapping in until Sunday! Great pics ODrH! THat is one lucky dog for sure. WHere is your show this weekend? Dekalb? My friend that shows Curlies is here with me--her daughter is at the specialty in Alabama this weekend.
We had dinner at a Mexican place here in Watertown...I feel GOOD! THey must have done a good job...or else it was the tequila!
I guess keep me for a large shirt RAIMNEL... I would rather have a MEn's large than a woman's anyhow. I found a bunch of chicks with a broody this morning. She is up in the ceiling of the coop. I hope she brings the chicks down soon without incident...they usually do OK--but that is when am home! OK--I think it is time for me to go to sleep...long day of scrap booking tomorrow and Saturday and Sunday....later--sweet dreams! Terri O

Good Morning All! Cute bird there ODrH! TO sounds like your having a good time. Hope your chicks make it down OK! Too bad there isn't a smilie chick with a parachute. Jim your a sick man!

Glad you love your birds! WCc hope your move goes smoothly! dk1 hope your feeling better too sounds like a stress issue maybe. Just my highly unprofessional opinion. Bigzio Sounds like your ready for your new babies. The boys are around each other all day long then all of a sudden Buster is ready to kick Peatwo's butt. Maybe Buster is trying to break Peatwo from doing his silly walk.

Cind think that's a great idea! That would give us a good selection of entrees'. Veni, Q's, and a later to be named meat. So raimnel put us down for noodles and Q's and if it comes to it buns. 6 more days till we find out how many viable eggs we have otonoh and TO. I'm starting to get excited! More! Hope we're not going to see much of that rain forecast. Really really don't need it. Long list today better get moving! Enjoy!

Morning All...
I woke up too early, and logged onto FB...some one or some company apparently called my cousin, my oldest. I just reconnected with him via FB...
He claims that I gave them his phone number.... problem is, I don't have his number, I never have...
I have his brother's, but have only just contacted him after 10 yrs...I talk to his roommate, again, just recently via FB...
Something weird is going on..
I almost have the feeling that it might be his wife, thinking I am an old flame or something...
When I pressed and asked for the name and number of the national society that contacted him.. he suddenly wanted to take it to
email, and now I haven't heard a thing...
Something is very very odd is going on...

Back to bed I feel like a log for a head.

Morning, starting off a nice day today. Sounds like everyone is busy busy these days. Well our hatch of 3 eggs might be over- we have 1 Andalusian chick, will candle the eggs and check. Had to move this hatch to a Hova-bator since we have 16 Marans eggs due next week April 14th in our home made one. I find the Hova-bator a bit of a challenge to keep temp and humidity steady compared to our home made one. So now we have a lone chick.

I got up at 4AM ... made steak and eggs and toast for b'fast.

cleaned the water tray in the hatcher , tossed the unhatched eggs , added fresh water and ready for round 3.. bonnng !!

the last 2 chicks to hatch were weak, I don't think they will live..

the guinea lady (Marlene) changed her mind.. she came yesterday while I was to town.. her 5 or 6 chicks that she was going to take turned out to be more like 20 ...LOL I knew it..

DrH, I never saw an egg that didn't need hatching..LOL

I went on the incubation threads this morning,, It gets my heart rate up easier than exercising..

TO, when I read that you were scrapping at a hotel, I wondered what the fight was all about..

Thanks! I'm actually hoping not to have a split hatch again, to time comsuming! We candled the other 2 eggs and they died somewhere along the way so we have a lone chick.

Yeah well...

According to DH (who is doing chores--I hope) the hen is not down from the loft yet. I hope all is going well at the farm. It is soooo hard to be away~ He is going to Redwing today to pick up a truck with his buddy so I hope he gets home in time to lock everything up.

Well...gotta get moving here. Need to bring my stuff in and get to cutting paper!

I am meeting Kristi today to take her bunnies to the Swap tomorrow, I am taking my big roo to be in the guy who runs it, to be in his mega flock.

I was due to feed my clients horses for the weekend while he went to drill..
It was canceled due to no money to pay them, the fed government shut down thing... ACK!

He said he was going to drive up to Tomah to look at a horse...
HE SAID HE WANTED TO CUT BACK... WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT??!!...
I had to sneak in the last two horses... and one of those was his!!!
Jiminy crickets..

His wife is gonna love that...
Well off to feed the chickens.
