Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Well, t happened to me again.. I was blocked from posting.. It took me more than a minte to remember what I did last time to get back in here.. LOGIN is the keyword here.. The they give you a new pass word.. It is just a jumble of letters, impossible to remember..

Zebra pattern couch ? I think somebody is pullling somebody else's leg just a bit..

Head cheese, brains, blood sausage , eyes.. Not ever been that hungry, hope I never get that hungry..

Tongue makes excellent beef stroganoff.. cut the tongue into pieces like french fries.. awesome good.. we don't have it very often, but I can see a batch coming up.. we picke up our 1/4 beef Tuesday and there was a tongue in the box.. Red Robin ! Yummmm...

Annie found a duck on a nest.. 14 eggs.. She is up above the ceiling of the rear lean-to coop.. those little ducklings better sprout some wing feathers ,, it is a 10 foot drop to the ground..
There will be a soft bed of hay waiting for them..

Hi Becky! Glad to meet you.

Thanks, bl4. And no, I do not believe I will EVER be trying blood & tongue sausage. I looked it up on Wiki & will now not be eating at least until dinnertime, thank you very much.

Those must have been some seriously hungry people who came up with that one.
I hope you have baby ducklings too.

TO & bl4, thank you for the heads-up on the road construction nightmares (aren't they all). Guess we'll be taking the scenic route when we head up.
I was scratching my head on the soy-free eggs too. What is up with that? The next new gimmick to make some extra $$$$$, I suppose.
DrH, you're not getting dumber, you just have so much valuable info running through your head that you just are having organizational problems, that's all.

Loved the running water comment, BTW. Almost sprayed my computer screen with coffee reading it.
Peatwo really sounds like a wonderful roo. You sure are lucky to have a buddy like him.
Dooner, good luck on the interview. The job market isn't easy for anyone these days. Take it easy on the digging. Hope you don't get rained out.
Sorry to ruin your appetite, DK. I was the one who said your hubby must have thick skin. I hope his luck hasn't run out.

Glad you are having another good day. Hope it continues.
I would love to see a pic from last years bash!
TO, same thing here. Slept in & now on 'puter when I should be getting all my garden decor back out of the gardens so the roofers don't smash the crap out of it all tomorrow. They had better not trample my flowers into oblivion.

And did I mention they'll be here at 6am? Lovely.

cloudy but nice outside.. I just came in.. I tried to introduce the goslling and duckling to the large geese.. the youngsters would have no part in it.. the duck ran and hid and the gosling stuck to papa (me) like sh-- on a stick.. we finally made up yet another pen just for the two of them..

something (raccoon) chased the goose off her nest and all of the eggs are missing except one.. Annie stuck that one into the incubator.. whatever it was, also tipped over the garbage can in the garage to get at the abandoned duck nest and ate all of those eggs too..

this hatch is about all but over. I didn't think it was such a good hatch..about 60%,,,, probably as a result of the long power outage we had..

the next eggs are starting to pip.. have to figure out what kind these will be..

going to move the Americauna chicks out to the brooder pen this afternoon..

first I feel a nap coming on..

I can't imagine there is very much (if any) soy in an egg.. what does the soy turn into when a chick is forming ?? I could believe that the chicken extracts the protein from the soybean and utilizes it in some way, but to imagine an egg with like a soybean in it seems rediculous to me..

OK last post from me today I promise! Didn't get much wood in the shed but the tree I had laying by the splitter is in there plus some of the tops from the bad naughty tree. I was sittin at the picinic table with Peatwo on my lap and he was just about asleep from the tension he had recieved and all of a sudden he picked his head up then stood up and mamma pulled up. It was treat time Mom's home and she always gives us treats! So I quickly became yesterdays meatloaf [which I like] but talk about being jilted!

CD the sad part about knowing so much is that you can't remember it all at once

Just looked up at the wall and there it was a pic of some very special people that are close to my heart! Even has names on it just for me! I'm special! Sent to me by some very special people [different kind of special] that live on a hill or so I've been told. The light is just right, you ought to see it! It's beautiful man! We're big rock singers we got golden fingers and we're loved everywhere we go! We sing about beauty and we sing about truth.... Two new arrivals today the yellow finches and the .... squito's.

Early Evening All... Thanks for sharing all the great pics and words of wisdom. Those goats are really cute raimnel.
Glad your broody turned out good amy. Makes life so much easier with moms help.
Good job on the tree Doc...I knew you were just foolin around with it. The bad trees are fun pieces to toss in the furnance....there how do ya like it in there!
We went to the Amish bulk food store just up the road....amazing how much one can save on alot of different stuff. Suzie bought a chicken ornament for the deck...wood thing with a rooster and bell on it. More clutter

My brooder babies are getting big too. I'm prolly gonna have to figure something out pretty soon for them.
