Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I thought about the soy egg thing too? I forgot to mention that I have a rose breasted grossbeak trying to pry the yellow flowers off the hummer feeder.

With that beak it just might succeed.

Have a job interview this afternoon. I passed two phone interviews already. Not that hopeful after the second phone interview, but it sounds like a good job and iI have been out of work for five months. It is not an easy market for a 50+ year old man. I am willing to work for half of what I use to make and have great experience, but I get one rejection after another. Taking a day off from coop building today. Have to start digging a level surface this weekend, and holes for the corner blocks. Bbackbreaking work...not looking forward to it.

Good morning all!

Amy those babys are beautiful!! David your girls are looking very nice, hard to believe how fast they grow!

I must have missed Frizzler's appearance - WELCOME!!

for Tuesday's vote! Hope it goes well!

Celtic, if you thought my face looked bad when reading your post, you should have seen it after reading TO's ! I thought my imagination of it was bad enough, now it sounds worse than ever!

isn't anywhere near strong enough to convey how I feel. With any luck I'll be able to erase that from my mind in time for dinner!

And if that weren't bad enough, baby talks about blood or tongue sausage! That gave me shivers and not in a good way... LOL.

Suzie, love your DH's response to the Jehovah's Witnesses!

Dr H, thanks for clearing up the whole bar thing for me. I always learn something new here, whether I want to or not ( head cheese one of those things I could have gotten along just fine WITHOUT EVER knowing!)

Can't remember who said I must either trust DH or he has thick skin. Usually he's done quite well, picked out the last two living room sets, but I have to confess that the zebra stripes have me just a bit worried! Of course it might not be zebra stripes at all, but more a striped pattern... he can be kinda... confused about these things, although I think it'd be hard to confuse zebra print with anything else.. but we'll see. I tried to convince him to take some pictures, but he wants to surprise me.

Feeling good again today! Hooray! Was so tired of feeling tired all the time! Well, have lots to get done today, so I better have at it.

Have a great day all!

my eyes are watering again and it aint allergies

Dooner, good luck on the interview!

Raimnel yes, I would love to see the pic of last years bash.

My DSD 15 takes ASL classes, the other day they had a lady in who is a manager for one of the top relay services for the deaf. She said they hire 18 years olds (sometime as young as 16) who have basic ASL skills (including good use of facial expressions) and they are DESPERATE for help. They have facilities all over the country. Starting pay... $18.00 an hour, can make up to $50.00 an hour if you are really good and they employ part-time as well as full time help. Told DSD to get the name of the company. She loves ASL and is hoping that when she's old enough she can land a job there. Heck, I'm thinking about taking a couple of courses over the next year, would be a great part time job, if there's a facility within driving distance! But even if I couldn't get a job I'd still love to know ASL. I used to know quite a bit years ago as the girls had a friend who was deaf. But it's one of those things I found that if you don't get regular practice you lose it.

Anyway, just wanted to let you folks know. If you have kids who can take that as an option in school (here in Florida they offer it as a foreign language in high school), it might be worth taking. Down the road it could provide them with a decent income!

Babylady g
Fingers crossed on the ducks
Welcome frizzler

Frizzler, here is a sure way to tell the male turkeys from the females, at any age.. It always works for me.. Say that you want to sell all males.. sort out the ones you think are males and sell them.. after they are sold, you will realize that those were all females... LOL

Good morning! Gray here again but supposed to get warm. I guess the soy free thing is a concern for some who think ingesting soy is evil. There were a few that thought that way at a seminar I went to last summer at Frank's Feed Mill. Yes BL4 most chicken feed uses soy as the protein component. THe people who dont like that say that it translates into the eggs...I dont know if it's really true or not!

GOt the morning off here so what do I do? Sleep in and then get on the puter! I wanted to move my blue Ameraucanas out today...might do it still. I got the kennel ready for them the other day. Need to take down laundry too...IF it gets dry after it's second rinse int he rain!
barnie.gif
Seems that every time I hang it out it gets at least one more rinse!
I am sitting on the couch with 4 cats around me and a beagle! They just want to cuddle it seems. They must be missing it since I am usually gone during the day now. Either that or it's cooler in here than usual!
DrH I am glad that you are using caution with that tree! Jim's method sounded intelligent too--anything to get away from the tree as it falls! I have to cut down part of a silver maple that I dont like hanging over my pond...DH doesnt want to do it. Guess I have to go and buy my own chainsaw now!
The cats are chewing on my new flowers...this is why I bought some artificial ones! big truck outside...oh oh gotta run! It's the septic pumper! Terri O

Sorry to clog things up but I just had to share. What a morning! First I got the bar out with a few tense minutes. The worst was backing the come-a-long off was worried that the little bit holding the tree would suddenly snap and with the chains being up that high envisioned the stump end removing a complete section of my upper torso. But it went very well! Got the saw put back together and went back out to retrieve my various physics tools after about 30 minutes and got about 20 feet from it and heard crack CRack CRACK and down it came right where I had planned it. What a gift! It was like it waited for me to witness it. Guess I'm now a Joewasa witness.
