WWCampground is not too far from me; I hope all of you had a good time!

I am not used to it being so warm! I was sleeping with my usual two blankets and a quilt, had the windows open and still woke up sweaty and thirsty!

So since I was up anyway, I checked the hatcher...... and right on schedule (a day early) I have 2 pips!

I have no idea why that incubator seems to hatch out a day early; temp is 99* the whole time......

Hi all! Hi Welcome to the newbies!

Sad chicken morning, one of my pet hens died this morning, Kosher. She was my youngest son's first chicken and when he moved he gave her and his other 3 to me. She is the one that showed me that she had round worm. She had the worse load of all and I guess she never quite recovered. When I talked to the feed store manager about her he said sometimes if they get worms bad it can effect their liver and there's not much you can do. I had her in the house for the last few months and fed her a special diet. She hung on for a few months!

Here is the small coop I was working on for the babies...

Ok, not real impressive, but I had to tear out what was there, patch the cracks in the floor and rebuild it. I still have to put chicken wire up a bit higher but I have a couple weeks for that. There is a door to outside under the window but I have to get more fencing before they can go out. It's also set up to put a higher roost in but they don't need that now either. All but the chicken wire is scrap!

Here is the main coop that I had to make bigger. I still have work to do in there too. This was also all scrap except some of the wood for the nest box. That gets some work this summer too.

I took a couple more but they came out too dark.

I just thought this was cute.... old baby meets new baby!

Wow just looked at the pics as you all will see them! Looks like I need to clean too! (I did do the nest box after this was taken)

Well, three pips and one zip.... my youngest DS was talking to the chicks through the glass.... 'Come on baby chickie, you can do it!'

He is so sweet....

TO Love those baby duck pictures. Never can get enough of them!

Frizzler, I've never had a problem with my horses being around my ducks. I have a problem with the ducks getting loose and going in the horse pasture, and then also getting in their water trough for a swim, but the horses don't mind them one bit.

Have a good Memorial Day everyone. We're going to try out the new rollercoaster at Bay Beach here in Green Bay.

Holy Humidity! Good morning...Happy Memorial Day and thanks to any service people we have here! My DH had to go into work this morning to meet a client...so I slept in and we BOTH missed the service in the park!

Kee maybe you can dip those Junies in chocolate? I bet they would be DELISH! But crunchy...

I wonder if DKV has arrived and brought the humidity with her from Florida? I got the tomatoes separated (from the rummage sale) I hope I did it right. I really should have done it right away when their locations in the box were still remembered clearly! They are planted in peat pots and unlabeled....I guess I will know if I get orange tomatoes from my "cherry" plants!

Well, DD19 is up and wants to trot out a horse...I wanted to ride last ight but I am thinking that mine is lame
