good morning,, No comments about that large egg ,, No opinions either ? No more pics from me..

the temp usually goes down when you add eggs.. it might take a whole day for it to come up to temp again.. no need to monitor it if you have your fail safe temp set.. set the eggs and walk away if you want to avoid stress..

I have no advice about dry incubation,, I never do it, and I do not totally agree with it.. I like to have control of what my bator is doing..'

snowing like crazy here right now.. better than raining,, water was running yesterday.. and there was just a hint of MUD ,,, time to find the mud rubbers..It gets so muddy up here, that even the catholics wear rubbers..

I have tried making ho-made pizza a few times.. I never made one that I would want to duplicate..

I should put pizza making on my bucket list..

I was at a niece's birthday party.. Annie is taking me to town to collect my Blazer..

That egg can't have come from a chicken. Unless you own the "6 foot man eating chicken" from the post cards.

The incubator has been going down in temp. Seems like if I cover a hole it goes back up. Bad idea? Good luck on all the eggs everyone!

Hurley what are the brown/grayish eggs on bottom left? Interesting colored egg.

Update ont he ?egg eating? I think its the chickens with maybe some help from the barn cat. Yesterday 8 eggs ok, found 5 shells broken open with insides missing! Argh and with me going on vacation. I am going ot hae to research the rollaway nestboxes I guess. I also saw suggestions of putting golfballs and fake eggs in. Any other suggestions are very welcome. This is also making a mess in the nestboxes with egg goo in them daily.

Jim, this is an egg I got last summer out of one of my chickens. It was a double yolker even though it should have been a triple by the size of it.

Judge, what is the temp without plug & with plug? Go for whichever is closer to 99.5.

Ang, golf balls have worked well for me. I leave them in the boxes all the time.
