Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Meeting is over and I'm back from Camp. No luck finding your spring pan bottom Amy...on a good note though, all your flowers are standing proud and looking good! Thanks again.

Nothing new here...hoping for sun to dry things enough to finish the planting soon.

It sure was good year for planting trees though.

Time for the lazyboy and a long tall PBR...or two.

Zeke-we are already living in the house as renters, so I am not sure that it is all too exciting for me. But maybe after we sign all of the papers and can chop down the 2 cedar trees in the front yard I will feel excited!

I got my retainer today and it makes me gag and I cannot talk right...and I have to wear the da@n thing 16 hours a day! The orthodontist said "most of that will be while you are sleeping", my comment "I only sleep 6 hours a day"!

My chickens are really trying hard to give themselves away. Today they were climbing on the wood pile in the side yard, while DH & I were planting our swaps, starring at us and shattering! Its really good that we live near a ravine with plenty of birds of all types and have some distance from our neighbors. LOL

It looks like poor Michelle isn't going to make it.

She still drinks a little but she doesn't move much at all and sleeps a lot. I think she'll go into a deep sleep soon - she doesn't seem to be in any pain.

The rest of the scalawags have been playing in "traffic" lately. They're finding something intriguing about the blacktop road and they're determined to check out every inch of it. I called them back several times and the neighbor shooshed them back once. (Then they tried to follow her back home again!). Their free ranging circle just keeps getting wider and wider. These chickens are taking crossing the road to a whole new level.
So sorry to hear about your chicken... I think your flock is looking for nightcrawlers on the road,,, they tend to stay on it or along the edge and its easy pickens...maybe?

Spending the night just outside the park, spent some time today driving through and we saw a lot of bison, some pronghorn, and a few elk. The youngest is just itching to see some bears..... I would prefer to see them from the rv myself.

These roads stink. No shoulder, VERY narrow, no guardrails at times..... I am having mini strokes every five minutes. Does not help that the DH is giving me grief about it either. I hope I get used to it since someone thinks we are driving through the Tetons..... I will be missing for a few days since cell phone reception is spotty at best in the park.

Lovely evening again tonight. I hope you all see the sun soon. I'll be in touch when I can. ( Amy, my camera has a different way of tellung me the quality of pics I am takibg, I have to look it up in the book).

U people make me giggle. Lol retainer... Hear ya just fine :lau <-- rotfl smilie lets see if the code works lol
Got some bills paid since dh is home with his debit card (mine being turned off and all) upgraded my cell phone for FREE... U know how that goes, u have to pay a connection fee :rolleyes
Tomorrow is last day of school YAY, no more dragging my rear outta bed at 6am lol. Takes lots of coffee. nothing more to say to night night

Good news on those barochs,, And you were'nt kidden about the size of those eggs. I was tellin Kath [my wife] that those are the biggest eggs I think I ve ever seen.. I hope to get a nice hatch out of those badboys, 15 more days to go.. How ever I have a little problem and I'm not sure what to do, you see the eggs I got from Jim keep moving over and snuggling up to the eggs I got from Robin..when I'm not lookin.....Not sure what that means...

I hope you're able to sleep with it. I had (am supposed to have.... the dog chewed it up!) a bite guard and it was SUPER hard to get used to. :( good luck.

I agree, a house is just a house, until it becomes YOUR house, and you make it a home! Excited for you! hopefully the rest of the transactions go smoothly.

IrishRover, so sorry to hear about Michelle. It sounds like you did everything you could.

Raimnel - I'm sorry that you have to go through that! How awful that they would do that to you guys! Frustrating and heartbreaking.

Well, DS finally had an afternoon that he didn't spike a 102 temp since Monday! hooray!! Tomorrow is his last day as a Kindergartener! Gosh the time flies. I can NOT believe that school year is done. a few days off then back at it for summer school, swim lessons and a week of day camp. Huh, for a moment there I thought that with summer the mom-taxi was gonna get a break! ;) Oh well. tis the job of a mom!
I can't wait for a dry warm day.(can't the weather be wrong and it NOT rain tomorrow?) Come on Saturday!!!
So, I made a little run for the 2 big girls (Big mama and Little Bit aka Bitty) by zip tying a few baby gates together. they were just taking up space in the basement anyway, and then I put chicken wire around the top. I had their little door open yesterday afternoon and all day today, but neither have been brave enough to venture even to look out yet! I can't say I can really blame thme though for NOT wanting to get out in the chilly weather. I certainly am not liking it either

Oh, question about the FF, Can I keep it outside, like in a shed/garage? I'm trying to figure the best place for it. DH would flip if I had it in the house. I haven't even started to explain it to him yet. I think he's still just putting up with my adventure! lol Patiently waiting for the egg part to start!
