Sounds like TO is having an impromptu mini bash! LOL (Weather she wanted it or not) Well, if she doesn't provide too many "Tommy type" drinks, maybe she will get her hay in!

BigZ.... Finally made that tongue! I did it like Sauerbraten and pressure cooked it in the brine. Skinned it, sliced it and threw it in the gravy. Very, very tender and not a bit left! I didn't tell "the people" (as TO puts it) until it was gone that it was tongue. I love my pressure cooker! Thanks again!

I know there was more.... reading while trying to do other stuff again so CRS! Jeez... I would just catch up, go do some work, come back and 2 more pages added! LOL

Chick count still good. BTW, who ever was worried about your cats going after your chicks....I have 5 cats. Most of them are hunters, however they know the chickens and chicks are mine and leave them alone. Not so sure a stray cat would leave them, but my cats do.

My Cat has really been good leaving everyone alone - EXCEPT for when they are rummaging around under all the weeds... all that rustling gets him revved up! Unfortunately, that's a favorite place for the chicks to be. All is good tho

I totally agree with you. I was raised in a family of four girls and fairly prim and proper. We lived ore in the city when the twins were born but moved to the country before they were one. I totally think they need to be raised to run and get dirty and discover bugs and get scratches! Perfect and tht camp sounds like a blast.


Wish we did not have kid birthday parties today or I would join the fun at Terri's! I have a feeling there will be plenty of mud to roll around in today with all this rain...and I wish I could sleep,through a thunderstorm sometime...ugh. Maybe it will rain this afternoon and I can pop a movie on for the kids. I don't do it often but with rain or high heat I do and that means there is a chance momma can catch a nap on the couch while they watch. Bad momma skill, but it happens once Ina blue moon. Birthday party is two hours...so our nap in there between drop offs...might work too...sigh sad to think I am sitting here wide awake thinking when I can nap nxt

I did the kid movie/mommy nap time yesterday! hey, ya gotta do what you gotta do sometimes. I Could not function I was SO tired. It's not bad mommy - it's better than getting run down and losing it altogether.

I hear ya on the no sleep cuza storms thing. geez! enough already! the river WAS receding until yesterday, and now we have more riverfront property ..... again.

Good morning! I am glad that I love to sleep during storms! I wake up and I try to stay awake so I can watch the lightening and prepare for the big booms...but I always fall asleep! I guess you always want the opposite of what you have...
The sun appears to be coming out!

I hope it stays out...it will make it ungodly uncomfortable unloading hay because of the humidity...but that is better than having $700 worth of hay rendered useless!

I sure hope JJ is right cause I sure dont want to have you all INSIDE my sty...oh I mean my house. I better go and clean the coops hey? NOT--there is so much mud out there...and a new lake!

OK I had to take DS to work and when I got home I got nervous and hit the submit button...Aack--so that is why I have edited...gotta do something now...find the cash for the hay. Oh Oh.
