Hey all, I am alive still have all the chickens, I have a fellow hopefully coming today for the Jaerhons.
We are doing a parade on the 4th with the pony and my niece, I need to get the older pullets to their new home, they are on the front porch and having a blast jumping all over
the boxes out there.
Anyhoo I saw this and had to share, its a web comic I rather like, but this one I thought had a funny chicken related theme.

FrenchToast: We started to do this late last winter - works really well and the girls just loved it. So we will grow a lot more this winter along with the mealworms. I'm learning how to grow my own mealworms and I think I finally have teeny tiney worms hatched. I found a great youtube on growing them

Where is this taking place? Is the swim lake or pool? I swam from age 4-college competitively and could do the biking, but I cannot run that whole 5K!!!! I've always wanted to do a tri, but never have or felt I could.

It is in Waupaca, and for the record I am NOT in good shape! I suck at swimming and I hate running. This is something on my bucket list, and since I am not getting any younger..... I thought I would give this a try.

Hello again,

We have our new coop divided into two halves with hardware cloth and chicken wire. The main flock of six are on one half with mom and chicks on the other. We haven't hung the nesting box in the side with mom and chicks yet (chicks are three weeks old). We plan to have it hung this week. I haven't seen any eggs in the corner where she and babies sleep - when does a broody start to lay again?
