Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

As always I've been sitting on the sidelines just reading daily about your lives. Those puppies sure are cute Jim, glad you have them and not me. When I used to raise Terriers, my last litter was 14. Not something I would want to try again anytime soon.
I'm not purposely forgetting others, just have that darn short term mem loss from my stroke so it's not on the page I'm on, I can't go back easily to recall it.

Well the reason I come on is to share my excitement, I even got a high-five from my daughter for it. My Ameracanas started laying again today, the first eggs from them in months. Also yesterday the marans, Orps and other coop are laying some. Now for the BLRW to start again will make me jump up and down. Youngest son said I couldn't start incubating, but I told him that everyone else is starting so if I get the eggs I may start, but thats a big if.

Baby Anellia is doing the best she can given everything. She goes the 18th for evaluation from Birth to 3 and I'm concerned about her mental development greatly. Although sweet, she's a very angry baby and hyper emotional. On the brighter side, she has started smiling. After hours of crying that smile just makes it all worth while. There's been numerous problems with her and I'm told acid reflux is very common in drug exposed babies so now we are trying the Enfamil A R formula, I'm not sure how long you give it time but it's been a week and I see little improvement. She does drink less, but instead of spitting up liquid, it's chunky. I plan on making a call to her pediatrician today to discuss and see if we need to try the Augmentum or give it more time. We have already tried so many different formulas, but Similac Soy, seemed to work the very best so far but it's not covered by WIC. Anyhow, one day at a time. I'll try and get updated pics on here soon.

Hope everyone is doing well, anyone heard from Frenchie? I miss reading the long posts!

Clark, tell your son I never stopped hatching!!
Some day Anellia will be very happy you are soooo patient. Keep up the good work for that girl! You will get her back on track :)

WORK SUCKS!

I would try to stay away from soy based formulas. Its been linked to early puberty in girls, and in boys . . . Well, much worse outcomes. I've said before that my cousin has fetal alcohol syndrome and her mother was on a morphine drip during pregnancy. That poor kid has become a science experiment for the doctors. Upping her meds, switching her meds, adding more meds to combat the side effects of the previous ones. Its really a terrible situation. Her pediatrician has shown concern about this cocktail another doctor has put her on. Just be there to stand up for her. If what the doctors are doing doesn't feel right, or the meds make her worse (if they try to put her on some in the future) just tell them "no". My cousin is 100 times worse now than she was before the drugs. She'd have temper tantrums before. But now the pills have caused major weight gain (she's 12) so she's like a big Yetti thundering around. She takes muscle relaxers because the other pills make her muscles tense up. This causes her to drool when she talks. You can't understand what she's saying and her ability to write is hardly there. A kindergartener writes more legibly. Her speech and writing were fine before the pills.
Keep being her advocate. Even at the clinic. Some of these doctors have no idea what they are doing. Especially when it involves a developing brain.

Hi Terri!
Guess what, del and I are planning a meet at your house! Lololol
Hey jim, what have you been up to today?
Good night. Chores are done! But still need to get homework done before even starting dinner! :/
Someday I will win the lottery! And can spend all of my time on chores instead of work! !

CS, if I ever manage to land a job I'll make a trip down there and make a delivery. Besides, I would like to pick up hatching eggs some time this spring.

Had a haircut today, had about 4 inches taken off.

Nothing else happening here.
Well if you win the lotto, then how often can you make deliveries?????

Not much here today.

Chickens are definitely eating and drinking more. Our egg production has also risen, but we also have a few broody too.

Snow, snow, and more snow. Heck I'll be happy with 40 degrees, no wind or snow/rain, and a sunny day!

Cute pics Jim.
