Thanks! I did them twice yesterday and wanted to keep doing them twice a day till they look good. I really want to get them done so I can start using them again. The #4 I used to cook eggs in and I loved it till it developed a bad/stuck on spot. The #9 I want to use as an everyday pan but mostly want to try fried chicken the way Mom used to make it.Just keep going! It takes time and patience to get a good coat. Lard and bacon grease are the top 2 coatings so just keep at it. Add thin coats and store the pan on the top of the oven, leave it there when you bake and when your done baking ad another coat. Use it as much as you can for potatoes and other non "gooey" frying. Wipe it out or rinse. Try not to use soap. Use a nylon scraper to get tough spots out. re-coat after each use until well broken in. Iron pans have been #1 pan for me all my life. I broke in sets for all my kids too. Patiences grasshopper.... it will be all good in the end!
