Oki, back again.
Just finished with a great visit from Stacy. Got to meet her adorable grand baby and her anti-social son. Lol. Talked all this while and had a great chat, and hopefully the bumble on my duckies foot gets better, as Dr. Stacy worked on it now

plus, I hope she meant it when she said that she likes our setup here...
Still waiting for the dang racoon to make a come back. as we don't have any traps that big he will be greeted with the gun. Sounds good to me!
Yesterday was just a pretty bad day altogether. Got whined out of bed by the brats dog, saw that no one was really taken care of in the morning and noticed one of my little doggies walking like a drunk. When he bent down to drink he flopped over, got back on shaky legs and peed blood. Besides that he was panting really heavy. A bit later he wouldn't even be getting up anymore.
Took him to the vet, and he didn't even really pick up his head anymore. Severe jaundice, lethargic and the doc found a hard lump between bladder and spleen, most likely cancer. So I let my little teddy bear go to a better place while petting him and telling him one last time that I love him

buried him later on the property and cried all day and night. I miss him so much already! He always made me smile, and he was so gentle despite being abused before I got him... RIP Buster!

So yes, hard day and night, not so happy a 4th for me. But shall the 4th be with you all!
Now just getting certified and then off to the next swap and selling some of the birds to reduce the birds to a manageable number again.
All birds locked in for the night, pheasant babies sleeping (for once!) and he sits with the shotgun on the roof waiting for the racoon while enjoying the towns fireworks display. Just another day here in the northwoods.
