I have been getting double posts off and on for over a week..

I know what you mean about working alone.. Instead of saying to someone, throw me that wrench, or whatever, you have to go and get it yourself,,

I worked on setting up the hoist beam by myself today.. got it almost up,, just have to fasten the braces to the ground with stakes , but again, that is easier with two people ..

the idea of raising it with the loader arms worked like a charm,,

pretty quiet here tonight..
a couple more games of Free Cell and then I am turning this puter off..

Evening all

took it easy today....sort of..... worked on grooming all but 1 of the Angora rabbits- he'll get groomed out tomorrow

kids are working on finishing up their 4-H project books- they are due on Tuesday....good thing I take care of this for the club as with our busy schedule they didn't get a lot of time to work on them. Hopefully they don't take all day tomorrow to finish!

Spent the afternoon over at Cutie's place! Thank you so much for letting us show up and play with all your critters! I owe you some soap for sure!

Jim, I have not ridden a horse bareback in 10 years, so it was a little unnerving to get up on one. You forget how much you slide around!

I am pretty tired out. Busy busy weekend..... and tomorrow the fun continues.

It's been pouring on and off for the past 3 hours now with some nice storms. Short break now and then it's gonna continue according to the radar. Supposed to get 3+ inches by tomorrow. Will make for another humid day full of skeeters and gnats...

Still fighting the bumble on my one duck (or again I should say). Can't find a kernel and just have this bubbly fatty stuff that I can't grab. Not sure what to do as we try to cut it out but don't seem to get anywhere besides bleeding and no way to get that stuff out. It's all swollen and I don't wanna distress her anymore. Any ideas on what else I could do besides BlueKote, Vetericyn and a good chunk of Neosporin when changing it? I think trying to cut it out is useless at this point. Gosh how I wish I had someone around that would be able to help or show me...

Gonna read a few more pages to calm down again them turning in for the night. Hope you stay dry and sleep well!

Had a wonderful visit with bbl4 & fam! It was great to see you guys wish you could have stYed longer.
We are fi ally turning in! It was a relaxing fire. And I should be hopefully getti g my saddle tomorrow! I will finally be able to let Thunder move out a little. He is being good about walking very slow for me. But think he will enjoy a little trot.

BBP... Yea, keep us in mind for next time you butcher! I'll take at least 2 heads and all the hocks and ribs you don't want! We'll pay for the packing of it and figure out a way to come get it too.
