eggs like that are not too uncommon,, it might be due to a lack of calcium.Phew. Just back from our annual vacation in Door County. Had a friend's teenager watching the chickens for us -- they seem good.
I did find three wonky eggs under the roosts -- looks like one tiny rubber egg, a full size rubber egg, and a deflated one (like it popped). A couple of my hens are just barely starting to lay, so I'm under the assumption that this is normal and she/they will figure it out...?
try putting some oyster shells out for them to pick at free choice..
It works well to fill the bottom of your pan feeder.. they will eat the feed and pick up the shells when they feel like it.. the shells will last a long time, so don't be concerned if you don't think they are not eating them,, .
