Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I agree with wondering if you get your own meat back. My aunt had hers processed years ago and got back 2 hearts. We can a lot of our meat and I like to make my own jerky. Plus, our shepherd gets the bones when I am done. He doesn't get much more than bones, but he loves 'em and his teeth are pearly white. I clean most of the meat off of the ribs and give the rib cage to the chickens. I guess my motto is share the bounty. Hopefully I will get the buck tag filled yet.
I have posted my recipe for ribs on here several times.
If you like BBQ ribs, then the chickens would never get another rib cage..

I was led to believe the Pack played at noon,, but I checked on the TV listings and found out it is a 3 o'clock game,
just stretches the anguish out a couple more hours..

Yes, you posted your recipe to me as well. I am not the most for ribs though. I may give in and try it one of these days. They love to torture us with the game. Really hoping for a win today!

Packer Win Sunday To Everyone...first off, Cind that snow sucks...better you than me, cause it's like lawn and keeps coming back!

Jim...they get $79 per deer for cutting, grinding and wrapping here.....I cut my own to perfection, cause I'm the one eating it and everyone I share the meat with should get the best possible venzun.

Son shot a fox this morning...the deer are cautious today and holding tight to the cover.

Good for you helping with the larder dae...we use to cut others, but the rewards and thanks never came and we have other things we can spend our time on now.

Queens are in for a spank today...right?

GO PACK...

Hope you are right, Bigz. I do it for a good friend of the family and his nephews and they compensate me well. This is the first time I will be butchering for my cousin and he is basically getting the thing quartered and a package of stuff he can deal with. I don't know well enough how he likes it done.

Go Pack!!

Nice work with all the deer! :)

I may not always update, but I do read. We got about 3 inches of snow in the storm; the chickens have been looking at it like "nope". They have been getting not-too-messy treats in the coop to keep them occupied. Their water was also frozen this morning... will have to figure something out for that sooner rather than later.

Otherwise, no news is good news.

Go Pack!

Congrats to all the hunters who got one this weekend!! Congrats to The Pack for picking themselves up and giving the Vikings a dusting!

The chicken water in the coop was crunchy yesterday and frozen today - switched them over to the heated waterer. The buns and quail in the barn had no crunchy water issues (yet). I'm not going to enjoy hauling so much water to the barn during the winter. Too bad the well pump in the milk house isn't operating right now.

I saw a few cars in town that looked like they had been covered in snow very recently. Sure glad I didn't have to shovel any of that stuff just yet!

Sweet dreams to all!
