Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Hi All,

I just Googled "Homemade Flock Blocks" and basically threw in some meal worms in. They turned out a bit soft though.

My Girls are getting back up to snuff for laying! 1 egg short of 6 dozen for the week! Getting there! (They get 10 to 11 hours of light.)

Night All!

relax,  the way the light hit Theo's eye made him look funny to me..

maybe stick to just one command , I like OK because it is quick..

try confronting him when you give the command. like stand right in front of him so he knows you mean business,
and say it as if you are going to kill him if he doesn't do it.

kind of like training a wife..  you take a 2x4 and smack her along side of the head..  why ?  first you gotta get her attention.,.

Now I will sit back and wait for the rebuttal from someone who knows way much more than I do.
You know who you are..

.......jiminwisc..........

Did you say something about a skunk?

Hey now. No using the S word, remember?

So I found a salsa recipe that used canned tomatoes. I've never made salsa from anything but fresh everything. It's a restaurant style salsa and all you do is put everything in a food processor and let er' rip. I made a batch last night for cards and drinks with some company and it went over awesome. It's about a quart and a half when it's done and it was demolished. I'll post the recipe shortly when I dig it back out to make more

28oz can plum tomatoes
1 medium onion
1 jalapeño pepper
1tsp salt
1tsp sugar
1-1/2 tsp cumin
3tbsp lemon juice
Handful of fresh cilantro.
3 cloves garlic
Put it all in a food processor let er go

I remember the Treasure Island store in Madison. Coming from the southwest corner of the state, it was a big deal to go to Madison and Treasure Island for our annual school shopping. We would usually go to Dubuque.

There is a tractor salvage place in Harrisville called Lakeside Implements but the locals call it Treasure Island. I'm sure it's not part of that chain you're talking about.

Cs, normally there is a spot on the top of a thread.i can push to follow it. I do not see that on your bash thread. But I was able to get into not :D
I agree with Jon on the be more firm. He probably does not yet realize you are telling him not to bark. Standing firmly in front of him to block his behavior will work well. Remember that dogs mostly work off of body language. Once he understands what you mean he will begin to associate your chosen word with the behavior you are expecting :)
It is just about official that we will now be a certified flock. Just need the lab results from the turkeys and then we will be set. All chickens and ducks passed with flying colors.
We have now officially counted the birds.UGH! That's a lot ;)
