Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Zeke is very pretty! I either get a portion of meat or paid. So far everyone has been really generous when I process for them. Still waiting to see if I have 2 more to do today. And my hubby went to the woods today too. I am starting to feel like I am a butcher.

Help! We're going to be gone this weekend and had the critter care taken care of. Now, however, we don't have anyone for Thursday or Friday. Anyone in the Waupaca area who will be around town on those days want to feed and water my chickens, bunnies and a few turkeys? I would really, really appreciate it!

just put out feed as eat all you want free choice.
they won't starve in just a couple of days..
put out plenty of waterers, too..

good afternoon,

I helped Annie tape and paint the bedroom. the painting took way less than an hour, prolly less than a half hour. the taping off took longer.

She had a gallon of white latex that she got from Menard's a few years ago from a rebate deal.. ended up to be free..

we took it to Menard's on Sat to get it shook up and tinted.
they said they do not carry that brand anymore so they couldn't tint it. ( thought that was a B>S story) . but they did shake it for us.

It covered the smokey walls just great. one coat.

I looked all over the can and cannot find a mfgr name. all it said was that it was made for Menard's.

Anyway, we are leaning toward moving into that bedroom and if we get a new client, he can have the bedroom we are in now..

bro and the 3 boys got 3 bucks on opening day.
they are going to bring the trimmings here; prolly tomorrow, for me to make hamburger for them.

I can leave enough feed and water for the chickens and turkeys but the bunnies need attention daily as some scratch out extra feed all over the floor while others unhook and flip waterers and feeders.

good morning,

bro Dave dropped off his vacuum packing supplies and the trimmings from their 3 deer. I will use my grinder and make a batch of hamburger for him.

We got the bedroom painted. Now Annie decided that we are going to move into that bedroom
it has a real big closet and there are two windows . one has the AC and the other can be opened for fresh air..

if and when we get a new client, he can have our present room.

Today, I have to fix the drawers on the dresser. It is a real cheapie, but it fits inside the closet nicely.

. .........jiminwisc........

ETA drawers are all fixed.
turned out to be easier than I had imagined...

Can you use bread ties or zip ties to fasten the hooks to their cages? I also used small heavy trays or bowls/crocks on the floor of the cage under the feeders to catch some of the spilled feed.

Give them extra timothy hay in a wire basket and a bowl with large chunks of hard veggies like carrots & other root vegetables. They will not go bad in a couple of days, especially in the cold.

I wish I was closer. I have a heated water bottle you could use. Good luck!

bro Dave came here after he got done hunting tonight.
He and DS Jake ground and vacuum sealed 80 pounds of nice lean venison hamburger.

and for kickers, Jake adjusted the mirrored sliding closet doors for me...

DD Barby will shampoo the carpet on Thursday for us.

today I fixed the drawers on the 5 drawer dresser.

and Annie peeled all the painting edging tape off.

Has anybody ever used KABOOM for getting rid of cigarette smoke stink ? the internet says it works

after 8 PM and it is not snowing here, yet..
we are in the 2" to 4" zone..

Thanks, CC! I did find someone to mind the critters while I'm gone. (I have all the J feeders wired to the cages but the others are a bit more difficult to wire securely. ) I always feel better if there is someone there to actually put eyes on everything every day to make sure all is well while I'm gone. Now I can have a good time and not worry.

I hope you all have a very blessed Thanksgiving! XOXO
