Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

good Packerless Sunday, another day without frustration..

We moved into the big bedroom yesterday. What a difference a few more square feet makes.

still have one more dresser to move in, but have to hold off until Chris can come and reroute the TV cables.

I mounted the TV tight to the ceiling. now I can lay in bed and not have to crook my neck to watch it.

.after tonight I can untie Frankie. we kept her tied all during deer season.. don't need to have another dog shot just because someone is bored and just has to shoot something.

I got a call from someone looking for roosters. they are selling them as fast as they can get them, she wanted to trade her pullets for my roosters. but I don't have any roosters except the Ginger Red Old English that I would like to get rid of. $$$ cheap $$$

The dog killed a weasel today. It had already turned white for winter. I've been just closing the door on my run, not on the actual building. He would have had no trouble killing all of my chickens and ducks.

He gets an "atta boy" from me..
look at how small that weasel is.. just imaging how dangerous it would be if it were the size of a coon ..

You and I appear to be on the same sleep schedule, that wind didn't help either... Started putting bales around the base of the run yesterday. Plan is to use one of my hog panels wrapped in plastic and set on top of the straw to shield the run from the snow. Anyone else wrap their runs? We get between 3 and 4 feet of snow in that area of the property, so letting them out to roam is not going to happen.

Rainy Day here today. Yep, I wrap one run that is 12x12 with plastic sheeting, it has a steel roof and is quite cozy for the hens all winter long.....my other coop pen stays open to the weather with it's 16x16 run....birds usually don't venture out in that run, unless I shovel a area for them to enjoy.
Slow hunting here this gun season...no good news to report in that area....that's hunting.
