With my wood fired boiler in the basement, the temp hangs right around 70f down there, although a little cooler near the basement windows. All in all, kinda pleasant down there and where I spend quite a lot of time.
Hi, the driveway is plowed, compliments of Brenda's SO. Ollie is still stuck. we have the battery in the garage charging.
the alternator doesn't seem to be working.
this morning I made my first ever banana bread. real easy recipe,
It turned just great. it is just cool enough so that butter melts on it..
Is winter over yet ?

I was thinking the same thing Jim. Cleared my driveway today and then spent 2 hours doing the Camp driveway. It sure is pretty there in the Winter with all the snow on the trees. My cold beer tasted good after I finished the job there.
Real bite in the air outside today. Starting to feel like ice fishing weather for sure. I'm hungry for some fresh northern pike, my favorite fish....of course some blue gills would taste awful goo too.
good winter morning,
I don't really want to go out, but I have to go to the VA for labs.
then a little food shopping.
then go see Annie.. She says that she is coming home this week.. that would be nice.
Ollie is still stuck at the far end of the driveway.. he will stay there until next weekend when it warms up a bit.
thinking of making cinnamon, caramel pecan rolls..

Hi all,
I just want to let you know that we had Frankie put to sleep forever, this morning.
that is her picture in my avatar.
she got so arthritic and painful,
.....jiminwisc......
Sorry to hear about that @jvls1942 . Those big dogs really have it rough - no way you can help them move around.
We have had to put down a couple of wonderful dogs and it leaves a big hole in your life. In fact, watching our english setter lately, I am beginning to think the vet trip is coming for him within the next year. He is 13 years old and is starting to struggle with getting up from his bed. This winter we added a heated bed for him outside in the dog house, although I am not convinced that he is even using it, lol.
Yep, sorry to hear about the loss of Frankie. Watching the suffering enough to decide to put the loved one down is tuff for sure....may she rest in pet heaven being a happy dog through life.
Cold snap at the door step here.....gonna look forward to the break in the weather later this week...prolly split wood this weekend with the warmer temps coming.
Yup, I am thinking I will get Ollie unstuck once the weather warms up.
DD's boyfriend said that he would pay for someone to plow my driveway as a Christmas present..(twice) .that would be nice. Maybe I will leave Ollie where he is until spring .. LOL
I don't know, I think I would move Ollie in the garage so he's ready to go....about those two times of a free plow job...think I'd play those cards when you need them most...or it snows the most LOL. Save Ollie for the easy peasy jobs.
