Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Yesterday I baked mashed potato rolls. mainly I
wanted to warm the oven to help warm the house.
Today I am going to make the dressing/stuffing
for tomorrow. I will put it out on the enclosed back
porch "walk in cooler" until tomorrow.
DD 1 is bringing cowboy beans, DD2 is bringing a ham.
SIL is bringing watergate salad.
all I have left to do is mashed potatoes, gravy and
sweet potatoes.
this is the easiest holiday meal I have ever made.
Bob should be here soon to plow us out..

Merry Christmas everyone,
Been closing the door to the chickens so water does not freeze so fast. Water twice day and collect eggs twice day. Still got couple broken eggs. Do not think they care about door closed, they look outside and say nope not going out there.

I looked up the rock salt guns. a bit too pricey
for what I need. I don't think they would have
the range to hit the dish, either.
the slightly warmer weather does make a
difference in how the house feels inside.
that hint of chill is gone.
we lost power yesterday. just long enough to
cause all the clocks to need resetting .

Merry late Christmas! Happy early new year! My chickens got away with 2 minor frostbites from the cold temps and snow. Now they wont leave the coop, even though its almost 40 degrees out, and all the snow is melting. Hope everyone stayed safe over the 4 or 5 days of cold.
