Happy 4th of July to everyone. Hope you all had a great day!
Rain doesn't want to quit around here, I guess Mother Nature is making up for the dry Summer last year.

Stay Safe .... bigz
Happy 4th, wont be going to see fireworks, dont know if they will have them. Just side dressed some corn saw it was going to rain.
Dont have to worry about rain this year so far. Got last crop in the 28th i think.

Hatched some for nieghbor, put 20 eggs in. Had few eggs from broody hen. He got 15 so far 4 maybe eggs left. 2 chicks did not make it out shell, and had some duds.

Boy, that's an understatement!
I hope you all had a good 4th of July.
But there was certainly no fireworks held around here that I know of, rain and more rain.

Hard to believe that it's raining right now, and not just a light sprinkling either.
No need to water anything this growing season, which is nice, but enough already!
No dry dead lawn this year either .... bummer, I hate cutting grass.

Stay Safe ...bigz
We had three really nice days up here for the 4th. Today started humid and sunny, but by 3pm we had some really heavy rain come down. Like we needed any more!

Any idea what this is? Discovered it the other morning when I went to check for eggs (our four remaining big girls are still on strike). Don’t know what to think of this.

Something from the meat case at festival foods that has been seasoned, marinated and ready to bbq? I dunno.??
Also I am surprised you have not got any eggs yet, sure they not laying someplace else?

Since the owl attacks, we’ve been keeping them locked in the run until later in the morning. Plus, the four of them religiously sit in the nesting boxes each day, plus they do their egg song before and after they’re in it.
