Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Afternoon Everyone..... nice pic fordmommy that's a cute bunch of peeps.

Do you guys know how lucky you both are to have a place up North? I'm jelious of both of you.

Doc, I didn't know the Tomahawk was such a great fishery. Sounds like a great place. You'll have to build a coop up there so you can take the flock along and be able to stay longer...

Worked on the tractor today. Didn't get it finished though. I wasen't able to remove the old races. I'll prolly take it in and have the implement guys remove and place the new ones in. Then i can finish it. I didn't want to wreck something trying to pound them out. What a dope, eh!

Sorry you all cant come to dinner! It sure smells great! Strawberry shortcake for desert and I even have some Custard French Toast soaking for brunch tomorrow! Have to go all out...my son is home from college for the weekend and he is HUNGRY! And DDs b-friend is here too.
I sure hope tomorrow is sunny! This day is very dismal...I dont feel like doing anything outside! We have 3 dead birch trees that need to come down before my front garden starts to grow. I dont want a tree falling on my tulips. That is the best garden I have in the spring and I sure dont want it wrecked! We have a HS graduation party planned for here on Memorial weekend and there is SO MUCH to get done before anyone can come to this place! I will be so relaxed at the meet and greet because it all will be done!

Anybody have any animals that they are boarding? I have to resolve an issue with a person that is boarding her horse here. My DH just found out that she hasnt paid a penny since the animal arrived...just what I need; something else to get done! Any ideas anyone...she is a friend so we dont have a contract. She never answers her phone when I call and I have only ever talked to her when she is at work (she works at my Dr's office) I really dont know what to do because I would like to retain our friendship for riding this summer. Dilemma....

OK--time to get that roast cut up! Terri O

It's more silvery and white. That is one of the White Orpingtons that I won at auction. If I sex them by their wings.....that is a male. I hope I get a female out of that bunch. Those are the "Minerva Louise" chickens for my youngest.

Biggest Smallie I ever caught was 22" and it was right in those waters...the smallies up there are bright green with brown stripes and maybe I can find a pic of that 22" and post it. Awesome! 24" I've seen, once my good friend had one that looked that big on the line, we were fishing on the east fork of the Chip River and we were wading, that fish was hooked and scooted right by me, a black one and a true monster. Wow. Course, he didn't land it, but what a ride. Dr. you gotta get up there and fish before you retire, Cheqaumegon Bay is truly world class. 22" minimum helps keep a lot of big fish in the water.

We picked up our chicks today, the girls couldn't wait so we ran up to Jackson. A nice kid by the name of Ben who had just come back from the Fondy meet...maybe some of you saw his stock. We got a great mixture of birds and the girls are doing some serious bonding with the chicks as I write. But both of the RIR had pooped shut vents so I got them cleaned up and hopefully they'll be fine. I could only find a 50# bag of medicated chick feed, way too much for us so if anyone lives down here in SE Wisconsin and needs some med chick starter pm me and stop on by for a cup of coffee.

Terri-o How about asking her to pick up the next load of hay. Say that it's starting to get pricey and you were wondering if she could maybe pick up the tap for the next trip? Or you could just ask her for hay money. That to me is the exspensive part. If she is a friend then she will understand that and pony up the money. If she doesn't do you really want someone like that to be your friend. Just something to think of. We had a "friend" that was going to keep her horse here for a couple weeks while she could find a place to board. Most distructive horse ever. A bully too. He ended up staying 2 months and we didn't recieve a penny, no contract either. When we asked her for something, anything. She said that she didn't have any money. Eventually she had to either come pick up her horse or we were going to sell it. We aren't friends anymore. Thats when I made DH start riding with me.

Was he in the far Right corner? That's were I got my 3 EE babies. And I'd come and visit if I ever get down that way.
