Up waay tooo early again. Too much pain in one knee and back from too much concrete this week. This too shall pass in 22 days! BL4 We're getting up early plan on getting there for the door opening. It'll be close. I'm taking 2 portapuss' and a cardbord box just in case all the gas won't fit in the Jeep. I would like to find around 6 SLW eggs/chicks. But if the price was right maybe 4 hens. I just would like to hatch/raise the chicks myself. If we come back empty handed no biggie. It'll be great to meet you! Becky that's just so so sad. Sorry it happened! BBCB Thanks a lot now I'll have that song going through my head all day, maybe I'll do the whole album. I've gotten see him 4 times twice in Wausau and twice up in the cities. Gave my youngest a ticket for her B'day last time he was in Wausau, she bought me the hat for mine. Our B'days are 5 days apart. I got hers a few rows away so she could sit with her friends and not by the old man. A couple that were sitting next to her before the show turned to me and said how cool it was for me to do that for her. Made me feel good. The cassette player ate my only copy of Storm Windows the other day it was pretty old, will have to get a CD replacement. Gonna be a long day. The youngest is bringing over supper along with her boyfriend. She told me the other day that she's making some major changes in her life. Hmmmm. Maybe she's getting a different car. Different job? We'll see. Have a good one!

I am back!!! I feel like I have been gone forever. My brick on my computer blew up and so I had no power. My DH is home right now so I can use his this weekend (OMG we have to SHARE!) Hopefully my new one will show up today or tomorrow...Monday at the latest! So I have to go to work now and I will catch up and post pics of the babies from last weekend. THey got a bigger enclosure yesterday and are all doing fine! Terri O

Hi CC! Welcome back!
As promised here is a shot of the chicks in their new house. The new ones are the black and white ones (Anaconas) and the yellow one is from my eggs that H&R hatched. Does anyone know how to submit a pic for "picture of the month?" I think the yellow one is a good one. I also did one of my guinea hens that is neat.

I know that spring is on it's way...I stopped at a Rummage sale today! Bought 2 books. One is a cookbook that had a recipe in it (I think) that my grandma used to make. I am going to try it today if I can get my nose to stop running! The other one is "One More Day" by Mitch Albom that also wrote "Tuesdays with Morrie." Been wanting to read it and who cant use another cookbook!!! Well, besides me I mean....by now I must have about 500! But Granny always used to say, "if there is one recipe in the book it's worth the purchase!" It is my favorite kind too...a compilation of many people's recipes. It was put out for the Hospice Touch in Tomah.

The people are going to play tennis now...they did disc golf this morning. All will be tired tonight! I need to get off my butt and go outside and run water for all the critters. I just want to take a nap...Everyone have fun in Neilsville this weekend! I hope you find what you want. Dr H I will have my SLW separated and hopefully have eggs from them by June if you dont find any.
Next week I am tilling my garden...gotta get the potatoes in on Good Friday right? TErri O

Cute pictures you have there. I agree that picture of the white chick is a good one. I don't know how to enter for pic of the week but you should enter that one! It's still too cold for rummage sales here. I miss going to them though.

Hopefully it'll warm up soon! It's like 35 F out right now.

I have a bunch of pictures of my chickens, way too many. I'm picture-crazed lol so I'm gonna share some with you guys!

I have 1 bantam cochin rooster and 5 silkie hens. Two are crazy broodies.

Colonel. He's really photogenic and loves close-ups.

Anyone else notice how chickens love to attack toes with nail polish one them!?

DrHAHa there is a lady near Oshkosh that is selling SLW hatching eggs. 5 bucks a dozen. Don't know what they look like if it matters. I may be able to get a # if wanted. Mike

I love that pic of Colonel! I am thinking that I might need a banty cochin.....oh wait; I think H&R already has one for me! I think I am loosing track of what I have coming and going! I was finally able to advertise on Craig's list by saying I had "eggs for crafting" for sale in the art section! See you flaggers...there is more than one way to crack an egg! HA! O anyhow I have a few people that want eggs now and also some that want ducklings and goslings. To bad my phone died and I cant get the number off of it for the guy who wanted 50! Darn phones!

Down to 1 quail baby. I just don't get it. They are just fine at night and in the morning....dead. Poor Peanut is all alone.
