Live Poultry for sale too.

Been busy, busy. Hope you all are enjoying the weather. The storms are on their way. And then a cool off. Just when the pool was getting warm.

Evening to everyone! Well the car is gone and had more fun with the kids and the chicks. Annarie I see I forgot to address your post. Cute duckie and had tossed around the idea of columbians before getting the SLW's. Pretty birds too! BBCB isn't that cool JL is protecting his girls. Hope your hen heals well and is accepted onto the flock. Everytime I go into the coop Peaches comes in to make sure I'm not up to something. Rains comin in might have to sit on the porch and watch it. Enjoy your evening!

Early Evening to All.... Talked to Jim and for those that are looking for guineas, he has light gray and pied...for chicks he will have Americaunas. The cost is $4 each for either. I'll let him know how many to bring.

Thanks again you guys for sharing the great pics. Maybe you will have some cochin peeps for sale some day Annarie? Those would be nice to have for sure.

Good to hear everyone is really busy. That's summer in Wi, eh!

BCC, did you end up with a Java Hatch? Good to hear about the new mom and babies.

Have Fun.... ~ bigzio

Bee U Tee Full morning everyone! This is my kind of weather. A little humid but not bad. No rain last night so I watered this AM. Having our first fresh salads tonight. It'll only the simpson seed but it'll still be good! Making bread today hope it turns out this time. I'm putting it in the oven to rise turning the stove on and off once in awhile. Scalding the milk right now and will let it cool while making some egg deliveries. One doz. to the beverage of my choice store. How convienent! BBCB what did you say yours was? I'm getting excited about meeting everyone! This is going to be so cool

Locking down the girls seems to be working getting 7 a day now. Got 3 shelless eggs in 2 days so I gave them oyster shell and seems to have helped. Often I find myself amazed about how great life is. I enjoy it more each day! Let the kids out on good behavior early today and watching them from this chair while listening to our resident mocking bird wear out her song. Second verse same as the first!

It's is nice this morning, but the mosquitoes are murder! I got all eaten up walking the dogs this morning.

Supposed to run errands today, but I didn't get any sleep - my little lone duckling peeped her head off all night looking for me.
sad.png

I have the brooder in the bedroom, so I'd have to get up and go talk to her, and she looks right up at my face and calms down, "talks" to me for a little while, and falls asleep - then I'd sneak off to bed and get an hour or two of sleep before she woke up and realized I was missing again. I don't know what I'm going to do with her.

I was trying to get a buddy for her, but it didn't pan out, so hopefully in a week or so (of sleepless nights!) I'll be able to merge her in with some of my bantam chicks - the ducklings grow so much faster than the chicks do that she should be able to fend for herself with them by then.

Ugh. I should really get moving for the day, but I'd much rather go back to bed!

I echo THAT Annarie! I went to work at 6 this morning to help the woman that stays with some of my past clients 24/7. They are both sick now...

It took me forever to catch up! The Grad party was fantastic--everything went off without a hitch. My daughter is happy!

I cant type real well because I had a farm accident on Sunday night with a wagon and tractor...7 stitches in my little finger! It looks GROSS--

Bigz--tell Jim that 4 keets will be fine. I think I just found a nest of their eggs so I am taking them to my neighbor for his henny to hatch. Mine are being really unreliable lately! (and the radio station is good-I am listening now)

Cant wait for the weekend bash! Amyable please bring some of that blue spiderwort if you can--I would love some. Do you want fuschia colored ones in trade? Also if anyone has any yellow iris to share please bring it along!

I have been searching for Monty every day to no avail--keep on praying! Gotta go--cant believe how much I use that finger to type! Terri O

I think someone else has the blue spiderwort; I've got a couple little fuschia ones from a friend last year. But have I got hte evening primrose - big yellow flowers and nigh indestructible. I actually have some yellow iris, they're just getting done blooming. I'll bring a bit.
I plan on digging up some comfrey from my grandma's this weekend - any interest, I'll dig extra. Let me know by Thurs. Also got a huge patch of wild oregano in the woods, don't know how it got there but it's sturdy stuff. Oh, and a couple pots of ditch lilies I dug a few weeks ago - the standard orange/yellow blooms.
As for extra seeds, I have borage (blue starlike flowers, cucumber-tasting leaves, all edible), blue morning glory, catmint, and assorted garden peas.
If I think of anything else, I'll post it. Can you people tell I like plants?

Hi everyone! Been busy lately. Had 3 chicks hatch out this week. Goats are being born left and right. Have a hen go awald and egg production is down, so she is sitting somewhere. Last time someone did that, when I finally found the nest there were 29 eggs there.

I'll have to find her soon. Looking forward to next weekend. Can't wait to meet everyone. Annarie: very cute pics! BBCB: nice pics too. when ever you and family want to come over, the babies are here. Busy month ahead. Thanks god that school ends next week and doesn't start again until July. I need a vacation. Hello to all that are new too. Terri I hope that Monty comes home soon. Maybe he found a girl and ran away to get hitched. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. Take care everyone!

Oh has anyone stepped up to do games? If not, I was thinking that if we all just bring some sort of game, ie: beanbag toss, golf toss, soccer, basketball, kick, or baseball. Then we should be covered. I know my girls are planning on swimming. I haven't told DH and oldest DD that there are horse trails. I won't see them the rest of the day if i do that. Kids tend to find things to entertain themselves. The older ones stand in groups, the younger ones run in groups. They will be fine. Oh and I was thinking about bring some of the new chicks too. So I'll be trying to tempt all you weak souls out there. Mmuuwwaahhah

Well I just had a bad day. Not really. But I am PO'd! Second attempt at bread failed again. Even used the new thermometer for the yeast. Didn't proof it though. Afterwards a little glimmer of rememberance came to me. I had problems with Red Star yeast before. No more of that. 15-16 cups of flour wasted plus my time and effort. E mailing the company and complaining and telling them not to bother sending me any coupons for their product I won't be using it ever again. Somehow fell asleep in the chair after a large late lunch to the sounds of gentle rain. Ran out to get the lil ones back in the brooder the first 2 came out one at a time the rest came out 2 at a time and the last 4 were getting wet. WOW it came down! Turned the heat lamp on them.
