Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Raimnel, I have my CNA licence. It is a quick course but they need ADVANCE warning if somebody has a learning disability (the exam would be difficult). My mom has Dyslexia; did not learn how to read until she was 16. She went to school and got her B.S. in Education when I was 12. Now at the schools they do accommodate people who have learning 'disabilities' (I hate that word, makes it sound like you are not able), all he needs is the Doc's diagnosis and they will make arrangements for him. He should not be afraid!!!!!!! And if you have no idea what you want to do, that is ok! At the 2 yr Colleges they offer an Associate Degree in General Studies; you cover all your general degree requirements for the four year schools so if you choose to continue on when the timing is better you can, plus you have an associates! I can chat with you more about this at the Bash if I can make it.......

Homemade chicken fajitas for dinner tonight! Yummy!

I'll put a post on the Bash link taking requests for ducklings! I would love to hatch some out for my chicken friends!

Dinner turned out good, Cubed cooked chicken breast, mixed with cream of mushroom, cream of chicken and 2 packets of stovetop. Mix all together with 2 beaten eggs, and topped with crushed ritz crackers. Poured in 2 cups of chicken broth and cooked for an hour at 350*. Was good! Tastes like chicken and stuffing. lol Hubby asked where the cranberries were.

Anyway, since that wasnt enough carbs, I decided on sneaking the heel of the bread I baked today for myself and put some raspberry jam on it for dessert!

Now off to finish the brooder! I remembered we had a bunch of plexiglass in the garage, so we are going to make one side out of that so we can have chicken tv! Then just gotta build the top and staple some hardware cloth to keep the cats out.... I cant wait! The Chicks come next week! I'm super excited, this is my first time having day old chickens!!!

I will post pics of brooder when done.

what about driving a school bus, I do, been at it for 22 yrs, your off when your kids are (unless you work for one district, and your kids are in a different one), you get paid well for the time you put in and most company's are flexible, i.e. your kids are sick

Heads up people there is winter and blizzard storm warnings starting tomorrow. could be up to 18 inches or more and 40 MPH winds.

Got Zeus's dredlocks taken out, he looks like a dork with his mane all trimmed, too long for english or western pleasure, and too short to look fabulous.

IF any one has a World of Variety near them, they have 40 lb bags of BOSS on sale for 10.98.
And have meal worms for 5.99 for a several ounces.

THought I would share.

Late Evening Everyone....thanks for the cool picks bl4. Nice that everyone enjoyed the week end.
I agree with everyone on the education goals. My daughter went for two years at the Menominee Nation college then transfered her credits to point and is finishing her BS in forestry. She is 34 and has two kids. Along the way she was able to get different training and in some cases paying opportunities...she is now a state certified fire fighter and was paid to fight the wild fires in califonia...she also landed an apprentince working with the DNR all summer in the woods with pay. In her case money making chances with added resume value came along the way, just because of her education proccess. Keep the faith, one just doesn't know what the future can bring with alot of hard work and desire.

It was nice to see the NFC win the pro bowl today. Now the Pack needs to take care of buisness next Sunday.... GO PACK! Be Safe... ~ bigzio

It looks like the cats can't wait for dinner to show up.

Could be! We made sure there was no way for them to get in. We figured if we had the plexiglass in front, they would sit in front of it instead of on top all the time. Time will tell.

Mag nice starting brooder...you might need to put a addition on it later....won't be long and the 25 peeps will each need 1 sq ft...prolly at least 5'X5'. They really grow fast...justa thought.

Need to run into town and pay the florist that sent my mom some flowers on Sat. Her bro passed away out in Pa...it's where she is from....She is planning on flying out there for a funeral on Thurs...I told her the weather is a problem....I think it fell on deaf ears...
