Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

BCC I agree with everyone else. Keep half the chicks. Make sure you get two roos, in case something happens with the first.

So, my ducks are alive! D: They busted out of the igloo in the front and sunk down in the snow, and very willingly toppled right back into the igloo! I haven't seen the ugly one (the scovie) but the pair came out, stretched their wings and then ran back in.

Which is good, cause DH is has been working for 12+ hours and still isn't done! He assumes a few more hours where hes at, and then he may go to the waukesha airport to help out! Poor DH.

I asked him if he ate and he said barely. I am making some fajitas for dinner, so he will have something warm and yummy to eat when he gets home.

We also can't go pick up DS!! I can't go pick up my son, cause the sitters is snowed in! She lives on a hill, and DH is at work with the only vechile with 4 wheel drive. So, she is keeping him overnight again. I miss him

Got this e-mail today... LOL

Every Red Blooded American should jump in line to support the Green Bay Packers! The Packers defeated the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon thus earning them the opportunity to go to the Super Bowl. By doing so, they saved the Hard-Working, Red Blooded, Taxpaying Americans literally several million dollars of tax money. How you say? Simple... we were told that if the Chicago Bears had won that President Obama (and probably his family) would be attending the Super Bowl to cheer on his hometown team and then become the First U.S. sitting President to ever attend a Super Bowl. Since the Bears lost...the President won't be attending. The money saved from not using Air Force 1, the limousines, all the additional security, and let's not forget Michelle Obama's entourage, is literally several million dollars! Also you must include the roads shut down to allow Obama and crew access from where they land to the stadium and back, or worse yet, spend the night!
Therefore every American should cheer on the Green Bay Packers at the Super Bowl to show them our gratitude. Oh...and let's not forget to thank Chicago Bear's Quarterback Jay Cutler for his role in the Packer's success!

Just makes me chuckle....

I have an Iowa Blue rooster to rehome if anyone wants him! Really sweet and great with the ladies. Free to anyone that isn't going to butcher him. He's 4 1/2 months old. I also discovered today that I have a black penedescenca hen. That comb is going to be a nightmare next winter. They are both from Sandhill, and were suppose to be black orpingtons. I'll have dorking roosters to give away later too, at least one birchen. Poor, unwanted roosters.

I couldn't make that promise. My plan is to get a batch of them, grow them up and butcher excess roos, holding back the pick(s).
I don't have any use for one before the chicks-to-be-pullets mature.

Good to have you back. Your knowledge and witt have been missed.

All calm here. Getting 23 chicken eggs a day. But am going to pull the eggs for the next two weeks. I found "a worm" in some poop the other day and since I've never de-wormed my flock, I though now's a good a time as any.

Kinda sucks though.

Last year they got mites. This year worms. What will next year bring?
