Dr Ha Ha, we have electric baseboards at our old house, the rental. They are good for back-up heat for sure. But there are some things you should know.
1-You can't put anything within 3 feet of them they say, or they can start a fire.
2-The electricity you use with them is VERY expencive. My renter uses them for primary heat now (because his kid broke the pellet stove we had in there
)
And #3...this is my favorite
.........you can melt crayons on them. I know this from experience.
I haven't been feeling good myself. That stomach bacteria I told you about has been acting up. Went to the Dr today and ran some labs. She put me on another antibiotic and vicadin. And for the first time in about 3 weeks, my stomach is not hurting. Hopefully this will be the end of it.
And Bigzio, You asked what I was going to be hatching. My roosters that I'm breeding are Blue Laced Red Wyandotte and Blue Wheaten Americana and Barred Cochins. The eggs are going to be from my Blue Laced Red Wyandottes and a BLRW splash, and Blue Marans, and blue wheaten americana, barred silkie cochin, a couple of Frizzles, White Orpingtons, and a few other hens. All for myself. I only took certains ones that I wanted to continue blood lines from. I don't want to hatch out everything I have. There are some breeds that I don't want to have any more or I don't have a rooster of that breed. You know what I mean.
So glad it's warming up. You know I LOVE the snow, but I HATE the cold. But....I was outside the other day and I swear I smelt Spring.
I also bought tickets for my family tonight for Disney On Ice for next week.
That is going to be fun. We love stuff like that and the last time I was to see the Ice Capades, I was about 9 years old and my grandparents and my mom took me. So that's a special memory I get to share with my boys. And surprisingly, my 11 year was VERY excited to hear we were going. I wasn't sure if he would still want to go. But he surprises me almost every day.
And I get to be a kid again!!!!
Even if it's only for a day.
