Thanks for the tips, I will cover the holes of the nests until they are close but want to get them installed when I can. wow 36 inches is pretty high, Should I build a little ramp? No work from the doctor. Hope his neck didn't go out.

That's a really intense yellow Dave, will be quite cheerful during the winter! I thought the gorilla might be some kind of optical illusion from something in the background of the photo... either that or bigfoot hangs out at your place and found your project interesting.

TO, yes some of us girls just don't do yellow well. Maybe if you wear a scarf with a color that matches your eyes it will work

I was wondering about chicks we got from the Co-op, what would black and brown be ??????? Will I have to wait and take pics for your help? I just wanted good layers.
We did get 5 BOs and 5 EEs also. They are soooooooo cute. They make such a lot of noise and then they get pooped and sleep.
Was pricing some stuff for my sisters rummage sale and DH sure thinks I price to low

He thinks our stuff is worth more, I told him we price to sell. Then the Antique Road Show came on and he said see we are probably making a mistake with our prices

Oh well another weekend gone and still waiting to get into the garden

TO.... Biskquick makes a gluten free mix! I saw it at Wal-Mart!

Well, the coop is almost done with the remodel. They have about 30 more sq.ft. and 12 more ft. of roost space! Just want to redo/move the feed and water station and add 2 "open" nest boxes. Then build a brooder box. I just have a temp set up for now but should be OK for now.*Happy chickens lay more eggs!*

And ofcourse about 400 ft. of fence to go up! I'll post some pics. of the "new" coop in the next week or so.

Not a good morning! The one egg that was rocking hasn't moved since yesterday afternoon. I'll leave them for another day but don't think there will be any hatching. Don't know why, the only glitch was the power outage and that was brief. The bator held 99.5 like a champ. Don't give up hope yet otonoh if this turns out to be a bust I'll set more eggs if you want. To say I'm disheartend is an understatement! Don't feel addressing all the post right now. Later!

Has anybody seen the gas coupons ?? they are good for one gallon of gas.. they are green and about the same size as a dollar bill and have a picture of Lincoln on one side.. hurry and use any you have, because they won't be much good for long..

I am hoping we are south enough that we will get rain rather than snow. Felt bad for the chickens the other day when the rain was blown sideways and they were soaked... would not go into their coop, just stood in the run getting soaked... did they think that one more treat from me would make it better??? sillies. Stay warm today everyone!
