Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

we have 2 girls and a boy.. all grown up now.. anyhow they were all potty trained at 6 months. we trained them right along with the puppy. if they made a mess, we rubbed their nose in it and slapped them upside the head..

I got the big pen all set up , bedded and have the brooder hood heating up.. 21 turkeys are going to find a new home out there.
and maybe some guineas, too.. and if that one cry baby gosling doesn't shut up , it is going out too..

Celtic, If you do fit in with this group, I'm not too sure I want to meet you.. LOL

LOL, Jim! What a scary thought, hey?
I'm not thinking I want to be one of your kids either. How are the bills for therapy these days?

As long as you quit sword fighting at a young age it's OK jim! But if your still doing I'll watch at the Bash for your return from the bathroom before entering. Yup your right on the mistakes. Your gonna make em it's the fixin part that seperates ya! CD I have a lot of thoughts that scare me, you get used to it after awhile.

Holy Crap did I get myself into it today. What a mess! We started out clearing a road to get at the hay wagons to load the brush on from the yards. Almost all was pine laying in tangles some snapped off most uprooted. Wish I would have taken the camera! You couldn't see 20 feet in most spots. The good thing was that there were a lot of good caring people showed up that weren't shy about working. The girls pulled branches and the guys ran the saws. We probably had 15 people off and on. Once we got the qtr of a mile road to the wagons cleared we moved to another road out back that was a lot longer and thankfully not as bad. Then we went next door to start cleaning up another friend of mines yard. You can't imagine the amount of wood that was cut today. Anywhere from 6 to 8 saws running all day. I started at 8:30 and quit at 3:30. Gonna feel that in the morning! Some of the girls brought out sammies and soda's for lunch and there was a nice breeze all day.

Things go a lot better when when you have good people around you! Goin back in the morning and should get it pretty well cleaned up! One big poplar tree that was down in his yard was gonna cost the guy $350 for someone to take it down. When he told me that I said, that's cheap call him up!

Raim if your talking about my reference to Bryan that's my BFF! Sorry for the confusion! I'm tired, I smell bad, and there's more beer in the fridge.

Oh, that's right. Forgot about the swordfighting. Better tell DH to bring along his chicken coop boots in case he's gotta go.

Sounds like you & the rest of the volunteer clean up crew have a lot of great qualities in common, DrH. Your friend is very lucky to know such great people, and I'm sure he knows it. Maybe you can get that wood shed filled up early this year?

Hope you aren't too achey in the morning. Take care and give them our best wishes.

DrH, You are going to need a tube of Ben Gay tomorrow.. Do they still make that stuff? How do they make Ben Gay?

When that tornado went through Wausau over 30 years ago, I went down and bought my first chainsaw.. It missed my Dad's house and my brothers house by 300 feet.. went through the park in their back yard.. I took out truckloads of firewood from the park.. I was going to take a nice big oak log, but 10 of us couldn't roll it ,, much less load it onto my truck..

I put only the 3 biggest turkey poults out for the night.. If they do OK, then tomorrow all the rest are going out.. Oh yeah, I put the cry baby gosling out, too.. the other two I left in the house immediatly fell asleep..LOL Ahhhhh,,,,,,,

Do any of you have a Pomeranian saddle back gander you want to get rid of? I had a call for one just a few minutes ago..

Ditto answer on the how to make Ben Gay.
I remember that stuff. Do they still make it, DrH?

They don't have a pond or a pool where the bash is going to be, do they? I better quit while I'm ahead before I wind up in it.
SIL finally brought the nieces over to see the chicks, who are now 2 months old. They had a great time chasing them around.
Those antibiotics are kicking my a**. Think I better turn in early tonight. Have a good evening, everyone!

I think he will need absorbine jr........ you can smell him a mile away!

I would hate to be your mom and clean up after you!

SF, I have more duckies in the bator! No worries, your ducky will have a friend! Raimnel I think we will have more than enough call ducks for everyone between me and SF..... but of course don't count before you hatch right???

Good evening after a really looong day! I am ticked at one of my broodies...she hatched the guinea chick and another a few days ago? Well, she lost those and hatched another and today lost that one! Now she is back on the nest! I think I will band her with a zip-tie and NOT let her sit again...or maybe let her sit and then take the babies? That might be a good solution because she is one that sits and DOES NOT get up!

My parrots have three eggs!!! Now I can start counting the incubation time...I may be hand feeding parrots at the bash! How in the world am I going to do that? Oh brother...I did not plan this well. I dont know what to say...I hear those of you that eel they cant leave the farm...same here! I am going to try to get a farm sitter or the bash. I think it is really the only way I can go anywhere. We are planning on leaving early Sunday morning (not my idea) to meet the girls at the Sheboygan fair grounds to see at least some of the show. I sure hope I can stand "training" my farm sitter...she needs everything in writing!

Brent--glad you are alright! I was worried when Jim said that the tornado was in your path (or you in it!) Speaking of...DH is leaving for Joplin, MS tonight at 3 AM to write estimates for those poor folks! He works for a company now that does restoration after storm damage. I am just a little glad that he will be gone for a night or two (dont tell him!) I will use his chainsaw and skid loader to my heart's content!

Yeah...If only I had the time!

OK--I need to sign off and hit the hay...another really long day tomorrow--I really cannot wait until this week is over! Sweet dreams all--Terri O
