Dorne,
The chicks are 7 days as of yesterday.
So now I have another issue....
Our former landlord was due to pay us the remainder of our deposit as of the 21st of this month. She says she mailed it out the same day she sent and got a reply from me via email.
That was the 19th of May... We have recieved NOTHING. I texted her on Tues, and said if we don't get it by friday I would let her know.
Well Friday came, no check so I texted her to let her know.
She said she would look into it after the holiday weekend. According to relatives who had rented for MANY years.. she HAS to get us the remainder by the end of the month, or she would HAVE to give us the entire amount back.
NOW I know we owed for heating oil. About 500 dollars worth, it was in our rental agreement. BUT if she doesn't get us the remainder, in a timely manner, can we go after her for ALL of the deposit?
According to the tenant resource center, she has to get us the remainder by the 21st of the month, after we move out.
She said in an email she would consult her attorney and her bank, after the holiday weekend.. which gives her until Tuesday at midnight to get it to us... OR at least postmarked on Tues.
Soooo does any have an idea how we should handle this?
And does any one have experience with this. I am going to contact Hens and Roos... to see if she knows.
Thanks
Carol
