I have an odd one for you, my 2+ yr old buff lace polish bantam has gone broody, she has never shown any inclination to do that, so totally awesome!!

Lets hope I sleep better tonight.

WIChookchick- How old are they and do they quack? We pinion our ducklings and chose Muscovies because they are quiet. We live in the city and the ducks live in our backyard. I can't risk them ever flying over the fence or making noise. I just feel bad that this one is all alone now.

BigZ....Don't know how many times I've had those "if only" moments! I think the worse was when I was coming home from work (2nd shift) and came across a freshly killed buck! It was still warm! I tried as hard as I could for about a half hour to get it in the station wagon but I just wasn't strong enough to get it in. All the time I'm thinking.... If I just had that rope I lent to a guy at work to hold his door shut... I could have done it easy!

All that good meat went to waste for lack of a rope!

Even if I had the knife in the car that I usually carried to cut herbs... I could have field dressed it and lightened it up enough to get it in.

Sucks when that happens!

GC... WOW... so sorry about your duckling! Hope you find a friend for the other one. And hope you get the $^%# thing that got it!

FT... I think that chicken statue is the thing of which nightmares are made! LOL

Not much to say, Jasmine is till trying to get the chicks up on that window! I think the Cochin chicks are to heavy to fly that high... or the foot feathers are! LOL I had to block off the top of the small coop completely because the Ameraucana chicks were falling through and landing in with the guineas and older chicks.

Ruddy should be coming to stay today!

I hope we bond OK. He's going to have to be a super good boy! I wasn't ready for another dog. Well, I was never ready for another dog and most turned out to be great. We'll see. He dose have potential... I think.

Well, another pullet is laying! They're so cute when they're little! Wish I could find those other d@mn eggs! Thought with the rain they would all lay inside.... still missing about 4.

Good Hazy Morning All! Pretty sticky out there! TO that's a really cute pic! What a lil buddy you have. Is it any good at editing? GC sorry about your duckling! I agree with Jim sounds like a weasle. Was wondering if you are working on a lap top from bed? You should be

FT does that horse stuff for west nile work on humans? I could probably use a shot of that! Actually the deer flys are worse this year. Don't ever remember them this bad but then again I don't remember what I was doing 5 minutes ago.

I've been past that resturant many times it's just south of [Mariton City] that's how it's pronounced if you live there.

Cind the books are always better than the movie, more detail. There's only a few movies that capture the basics of the books. ie: Grapes of Wrath, To kill a mocking bird. Well I think I get the bad chicken owner award for this month. Picked up Peatwo last night after noticing his foot was swollen worse than before. It's not a broken toe its been bumble foot all along. Thought his toe was broken about a month ago had a little swelling then but thought it was from being broken. I feel so bad and stupid for not catching it then. Poor boy was hobbling around for 3 weeks, I thought he was just healing. He doesn't hobble anymore but the swelling is worse. Going to take care of it today. Read about it last night will try and do it by myself if not then will wait till L gets home to do it. Any input would be appreciated! It seems pretty straight forward. Up to 11 qts of dills on the pantry shelf.

Have given away about as many cuc's. Just love the smell of vinegar in the morning. Want to get some outside stuff done before it gets hot. Stay hydrated people!

Good morning folks! Been up since 2:30 this morning, had to get DH out the door and headed to chicago airport. Thinking I should have been a bit less enthuastic in my rain dance!!

Carol, sorry I didn't get a chance to call, things got kinda hectic here!

I'll call to day and see if they ever checked on the calf, it's possible he was born with a deformity or gave them time for a vet visit, I simply don't know, but will check.

is it possible for one alzheimers patient to care for another?!? Should hear today or tomorrow on that job. Had another interview at Furry Babies (they seel $1500.00 puppies, sheesh), they want a second iterview. If I don't get the one, I'm bound to get that one, which will do until I find something better. Always easier to find a job once you have a job for some reason!

TO can't wait to see the pics of the fly catchers!

DrH don't envy you the tapping and mudding... yuck Hope things go well with peatwos widdle foot.

Well, we have a new dog. We had seen a courtesy post on the humane society site from a guy here in Janesville with an American Bulldog he was trying to find a home for. We didn't hear from them and figured they'd found a home, so started looking and German Sheperds through the rescue (even had a home visit) and then day before yesterday got a phone call on the bulldog. That evening they brought him over, and while still a rather wild puppy of 11 months, he's sweet, listens fairly well and no agression issues. Lived in a house with 2 cats and a 7 lb yorkie, so... we decided to take him and they returned with him yesterday. They and their room mate wanted to say goodbye. They all came over and left knowing they can come visit whenever they want or take him to the dog park. Made it a lot easier for them

Here's our boy Benny (shortened it ... it was Bentley, which sounded to much like a snobby British butler to me!)

Rains supposed to clear out a little for the afternoon, which is good, Benny could use about 3 hours of playtime to get some of this puppy energy out!

I kinda like the newer version of the Isle of Doc Moreau , seeing Val Kilmer and Marlon Brando seemingly on crack and LSD.. so odd and so awesome!! LOL
There was a better movie made wayyy back when in 1977 (LOL) with Burt Lancaster and Michael York.
That was a very interesting movie.

have to go much stalls, then help new client with her horses and check a saddle fit, do laundry, watch my niece and then come home and dry laundry, and then do dishes.
