Evening all!
I've been reading but have not had time to post in reply to all the things I want to! I can't stay for long, I've got to finish packing the car for the trip to Milwaukee for Keedokes workshop. Then I'm off to bed so I can get up early to take care of critters before we have to hit the road.

Everyone is great here and the Girls are doing well.....Oh eggs! I have to take eggs for tomorrow! Man I better get gone before I forget half of what I need to take! AAADD explains much!! LOL

good evening, I got the lawn mower put back together and got it started.. I did just close around the house for starters.. didn't realize how ragged the yard looked.. anybody need some weedy hay? LOL

tomorrow, i might go and mow around the edges of the garden..
that will be some REAL hay..

Annie bought a cherry pitter from Fleet for about $20. Just a plastic thing you suction cup to the counter top.. but it worked super..

she bought some of those peaches too.. we don't can them.. by the time everybody eats a few, the case is gone..

the turkey hatched and now there are more pips.. more guinea pips, too.. only about 18 egg left in the incubator and then that will be it for this summer.. (unless somebody brings eggs to hatch) No more for me, though.. Unless I find some peacock eggs..

Well we went up to Oshkosh for the Air Venture/show, got some great pics I will have to put up tomorrow, we took our niece who is 6 with us and snagged her old stroller which is huge and usefull!!
DH got a boat load of swag and some kewl t-shirts, posters and some rare stuff too. Plus a ride on the Farmers Airship ( a small zepplin- yes a zepplin)
DN(niece) got a kewl t-shirt and some other sweet stuff a kid likes.
We got to see a Harrier up close and personal, and a P-3 Orion up close and very personal (it helps if you used to work on them, and were from a sister squadron to the visiting crew)
We got pics (awesome pics)

We played funny games on the way home, and our niece soo didn't want to go home..
We dropped her off, headed for the hills, and came home to 3 dogs who WOULD NOT GO OUT for our friend who came to let them out... so the three little pee-balls really needed to go after being in for almost 10 hours!!

Chickens got a nice meal this a.m. and their fans on, extra water and will get more tomorrow, since its HOT down here...

OK..... This is Ruddy!

Can't tell how big he really is but he's a little taller than Duke and very sleek! He has a curly tail too! Still not sure how he's going to work out. He's gotten Very possessive of me! Which is odd because he was always a "Man's Dog". He wouldn't even come to me at first... he ran to DH. DH fed him and went out with him this morning (fri) but when he came home from work Ruddy barked up a storm and I had to stand between them! He gives poor Duke that "territory/possessive" low growl and has snapped at him too.

He's been intimidating the cats also! Still great with the chickens!

He's been learning where his "Time Out" spot is! This may be more work than I planed!

He dose listen to me though. And I'm not worried about the broken doorbell! LOL

Good Window Opening Morning All! No time so on to me me me! Have a couple of Army buddies stopping over this aft and things need doing before that. I let Peatwo out of jail this AM and all he's doing is running around trying to get him some.

Swelling is down but still needs work. Heading out to finally get some more berries picked before the bugs dry off. Gonna get rid of some more veggies today. Gotta go

good morning, it is nice and cool out this morning, doesn't have that threatening "here comes the hot temps" feel..

too much dew on the grass to cut.. but If it weren't 3 ft tall, I could.

while cutting around the house yesterday, I found 3 grape vines that I planted a couple of years ago.. It was on again and off again with them.. well now they all look like t hey are going to really grow..It probably helped that I cut down a stand of tall poplar trees that did nothing but shade my grapes.. there are tons of grapes on the old established arbor.. I will have to sink a couple of posts and make another arbor for the newcomers..

It is getting harder to tell the Delaware chickens from the pullets.. I think more eggs is in the near future.. the young del roosters are starting to crow, so that is a good indicator.. and if it means anything,, the old del rooster is sneaking in with the pullets..

If I knew I could replace my roosters in the spring, with as good a caliber as I have, I would not keep any over winter..

there are a few barred rocks that are coming of age also..

One of these days I will have to take inventory..

coffee'd up. think I will go cut some grass and spray some dew.

btw,, the lady for the americauna was a no show yesterday.. she has done this before.. AAADD ?

I am back in.. I got one end of the garden grass mowed.. It was tall and wet.. I pushed the mower a bit too hard and either broke a belt, or it merely jumped off the pulleys..
Now I have a project for today..

another cuppa and I am back outside..

Morning all, we have 3 eggs that are in the process of zipping open this am-day 21- these will be Cuckoo Marans chicks! Actually 1 chick just split it's shell open!

DD has to play fastpitch softball at 11am today- this is the final games for the season, they won 1 and lost 1 yesterday, we'll see how today goes.....
