Handyman special, shed needs some attention but the basic frame is in good condition. if your handy and can do some carpentery work and painting, you could have a nice little shed for a good price. The Shed size is 82'H x 62"D x 82"W, perfect for all your yard tools and a std. size lawnmower or small snowblower fits in the door. Please call Dan to arrange pick up at 262.613.2231

I include picture of carpentry work that needs to be done on the railings.

AWWW--Carol that is exactly the little shed I want to put next to my pond for a little garden shed! Maybe I will email him...wonder if I can fit it in my pick-up? You have an excellent idea about boycotting Yoders...only problem is LOTS of Amish are Yoders! If the OP could get the number off of the sign or the address we could certainly do what you suggest! Maybe I can ask my Dad to go by and see if there is a number....

I have some Cantaloupe chunks setting until tomorrow...I will can them up then. I was perusing (yet another) cookbook I found when I was cleaning off my counter...actually looking if it had a companion planting guide...when I found this recipe and remembered that I had purchased a couple melons on Friday...glad I did something with them. The parrots dont seem to like them much and the only thing that will eat them is the beagle! (PIGLET she is!) So now they will be pickles: according to the recipe "excellent for company." So who's coming over to eat them???

I am all alone (and loving it!) tonight...and tomorrow and the next day too! DD19 is in Cali and DD25 is camping. DH is still working in Joplin...and I have the day off tomorrow...can you tell I am excited? Ya know, I just cant see where folks say they are bored when they are alone...I have so much FUN! I actually feel like it is 9 AM and I could do ANYTHING right now! Weird...

Dornes--I think (with my limited carpenter ability) that the vertical and horizontal pieces are cut with a slot so they fit together? I am not sure what it is called...I dont think a dado but it is similar. Cind? That is the only way you could do it unless you used separate pieces. IMHO.

Carol--are the ponies in with other horses? Maybe the bigger ones are bossing them? Do they have the order figured out? Are you doing something to them (that they dont like) when they come up to eat? Just a few suggestions that you have probably thought of....did they have grass pasture before? they like if better than your hay? Is is swampy where they have to walk up to the eating area?

Hey BigZ--I buy bacon ends all the time at the Piggly Wiggly here. It has some of the skin attached and is sooo good! Only $1.69/lb. A way better price than the bacon! They told me what the brand was but I cant remember it....I am so angry that Schroedel's closed here...it was the best butcher shop around and they had cheap raw bones for my dogs...they were a fixture in Jefferson. Guess I will hae to head over to Riverside and see what they can do for raw bones...my dogs love 'em!

Well I guess I will go and clean something...how come I dont mind cleaning stuff when there is no one here? or, maybe I will have another piece of my BREAD! LOL--I am giddy! Sweet dreams all...Terri O

Awesome thread, TO! Thank you for telling us about it. I am always looking for new recipes & canning info, and since I promised DH I wouldn't be adding any more recipe books to my already overflowing collection, this will be perfect.

Gotta love the internet.

So if anyone is wondering where I am, I'll probably be doing even MORE reading on my 'puter. Like you guys don't keep me busy enough.

Cute chicken coop-to-be, Carol.

Dornes, DH and FIL made a stack of boxes in my new coop, 4 across and 3 high. I think they built it from the bottom up. Bottom board and the 2 outer boards first, then placed the 12" dividers for the lower row and nailed them in place from underneath. Then they put in a long board on top of the dividers and nailed from the top. As they worked their way up, I think there was some toe-nailing. Geesh, does this make any sense at all?? Be easier to draw it out. Where's Jim??

good evening, lots of posts tonight..
CC. Yes, some of the tools were dusty, but thanks to chrome, no rust..

those are neat looking nesting boxes.. However I personnally do not like fixed nests.. I made a battery of ten nests in a row , but each box is removable and interchangeable for easier cleaning.

I have photos, if you PM me your email I can send them to you.

Brent, that is the difference between you and me.. I have no trouble at all hating certain people.. I figure , if they deserve it, hate 'em..

Yes, you could dado the bottoms to the sides, or you could just nail cleats in and set individual bottoms into each compartment.

...jiminwisc..........

FT, Waushara County will not do jack sh*T when it comes to the mistreatment of animals. I called in after wittnessing bone-thin horses, fetlock deep in mud (the entire pasture was mud), no food or water.... stallion was kept in a round pen with no food and a bucket that had contained water (he had knocked it over). I took pictures of everything and they would not move on it at all.

Send me a PM with the location, I can do some digging for you and possibly have an ex-officer check things out......

Thank you everyone for the compliments on the lightning pic; I will pass them along to my DD.

It is 6:30am and the rooster has been crowing steadily since 5:30am. I am sooooo angry with Meyers for sending me 2 roos out of 5 barred rocks when I paid for females. This is a far cry from 10% guess rate. If anyone wants 2 roos, I will give them free. I will also include 5 free pullets: two SLW, two Partridge Rocks, and one Barred Rock. These were all born on May 2, 2011, seem very healthy, growing well, and have been vaccinated for Mareks. They all came from Meyers in the same order (including the roos), so have been raised together. You must be within driving distance of the Eagle River/Minoqua area because I will not ship them.
