Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

This has turned into a Horse thread! Annnd I know nothing about horses other than they kinda scare me, soooo. I'm just gonna ramble..

Dude hasn't emailed me back. I like how early this week turned into mid-late this week. Whatever

I am shopping Home depot for some cheapo light fixtures. Just to pull ourselves outta the 80s, not much more lol.

Was gonna scrub wallpaper, got ambitious, then lost it almost instantly.

My drake is still being a jerk. I shove him everytime i'm in there and hes trying to headbutt the babies. BULLY.

Oh well. Off to get ready for work and the farmers market with a co-worker

oh, I also passed my ASCP exam, which I was terrified I wouldn't WOOHOO GO ME!

Hi Everyone,

Sorry but I'm very depressed his morning. One of our Afghan Hounds got out of her chain link kennel run and through a gate to kill my lovely Black Birchen Marans, Rhode Island Red, Black Astralorpe and Welsummer Pullets yesterday. She killed the Rhode Island right in front of me. All of them were young and my pets. My eyes are still red from crying. Our property is quite secure, but we had a huge tree fall on this kennel and some of the chain link and the gate were bent. I can't believe she managed to bend and manipulate the wire until she got a a hole started.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your chickens. There's been a lot of people lately that have said their dog escaped and killed their chickens. I personally don't keep dogs that would do that. We had a lab once that killed a bunch of my ducks. She got a new home. My golden retriever's job is to patrol the yard and protect chickens (sometimes he's not the best at that job). If I have a rooster attacking me I call the dog and he'll grab him. Then I yell "drop him" and the rooster will run off as fast as he can! We had a beagle that was good with the chickens and adult ducks, but he couldn't resist putting ducklings in his mouth and chomping them. I just didn't let hens hatch ducklings when he was around.

Speaking of horses, theres an 11 yr old Fjord/Haflinger on Craigslist that I want really bad! I think he'd be perfect for my 8 yr old son. Too bad I don't have the pasture and barn ready yet. Maybe I could board him?

YOU ARE IN SOOOOOO MUCH TROUBLE CC!!! O.M.G. Those cows are beyond adorable....I noticed that the calf on the sale page, Noah is moving to Wisconsin. CC? Do you have some splanin' to do???? OR is that FT's doing. Mawahaahahahahaah!!
I'd take a jersey in a heart beat. Swissies are cute too.

Good afternoon everyone! Congrats RaiQ!!! I knew you could do it.
I noticed that that little cow was coming to WI too. $1100???

That is a boatlaoad of money for something to look at and clean up after!

OK guys neither Bong nor Mukwanago is in Dane county! I think MLH said DANE didnt she? My dog wants me to play fetch with a chewed up cottage cheese container...wonder where she found that? OOps--I just threw it on top of the stove...guess it's GAME OVER! That's OK--it's hard enought to type and eat dinner without playing with the dog too! (I am really good at multi-tasking)
I had been watching a pink tomato ripen in the garden...I figured it was a German Pink...makes sense right? Well, according to my garden map it is a "Mortgage Lifter." Isnt that a great name? The "Abe Lincoln" also had a ripe one...well they were ALMOST ripe...but something went in there last night nad took a bunch of bites off of one side! My FIRST tomatoes and I had to share them with some critter! THe pink one was tasty and sweet. Abe Lincoln tasted like nothing! I was so disappointed. I will see if some of the other Abe's taste better or I will not save any seed from that variety. I planted all heirlooms this year and they are doing fabulously. I am planning on saving seeds so I will have many to give away I am sure.
Hey Brent--that hubbard seed you gave me at the bash is growing like crazy but today I noticed that there is vine borer in there

I am sad. I dont know if I will get any squash off of them. I was so looking forward to Hubbard! Time will tell I guess. I know that you can do an "operation" on the vine and remove the borer...maybe I will see if I can locate that information and try it...might be worth it.
OK--I am going to read--AND EAT! Later! Terri O
