Jim...When I was married to my X we played poker with some of the neighbors quite often. We just played with change but if you lost you didn't loose much and if you won you still felt like you got something. One of the few things I enjoyed doing with the X!

What game/games do you play? If I could walk around better I would seriously consider getting a crossbow permit. I have bad shoulders (dislocated them both) so I would qualify. But I can't walk enough to hunt anymore.

I had a "target crossbow" and it was quite cool. Buried allot of darts in the target, and that was a slightly smaller version than you'd use for hunting! How many tags can you get around there? Glad you found the duck nest.

Which reminds me.... I had to remove Jasmine from the nest tonight! I tried to explain to her it was too late in the year to go broody!

This spring I let her hatch some because she went broody 4 times in 3 months and I got tired of "breaking" her. Hopefully the cool weather will give her the hint!

OK...we try this sleep thing again... night.

That's a lot of meat! Gotta love the character of those horns! Those are the ones that stick in your memory. Cute G'kids! Yup Jim dragging the granite back with some in the bucket works slick! I've got a lot of running to do today too. Been feeling guilty about getting the tractor so I'm going to pick up a lighted vanity mirror for L's B'day. We don't normally do presents. But.... She always liked the ones in motel rooms and I actually told her a few ago that I'd get her one when the bathroom was remodeled. Well the bathroom is remodeled. Nothing beats a good bluff! Glad that kitty found a home, no room here for a new one. 2 alpha's here. Cind wish I had a broody and hope the subsides!

L sleeps under covers year round last night I didn't cover up till around 2. Angie there's nothing wrong with a roo having a girls name, won't change him a bit huh fm? Are you out there? Checked all the fluid levels on the tractor and the anti-freeze. Good to go all winter. The guy Donny bought it from said he never had to add any fluids. Going to look at the throttle cable today think it needs adjusting. Learned something yesterday. Sometimes you should hook up the top link on the 3 pt first. Had to straighten a stabilizer bar after walking away from it to get something.

The 3 pt creeps a little. I'm starting to catch on. Maybe. Man the ticks have come back with a vengence! Got 3 eggs in 4 days

Better jump in the shower to be downtown presentable.

I went out this morning before work and hoped to hear him again-its still too dark :-( DISLIKE the fact I leave before its light out and home when its already dark-no time to see my "Chicklings" except weekends now

Aww I love beginning rooster crows.

I have a chicken named Bugsy. It started out little Bug because he was so small. And morphed into Bugsy. When I first started posting on cheeseheads I would slip up and call him Bigzy

I am over that now.

Glad to hear it was a good Dr report and the buck is very impressive. Nice looking grandkids too.

My dog Tiger is sick, been throwing up for three days now so we have an appointment at 2;40 today. My neighbor is always feeding her junk and I asked him to quit but he wont.

Well I cant blame it on him. who knows whats wrong. I will hopefully find out this afternoon.

Mornin! Second cuppa nearly down...man I paid for that extra pot I drank yesterday. I woke up at 2:04 the last time I looked at the clock it was 4:08! Then I fell asleep really hard until DH's alarm went off for him to o to work. I am pretty beat today and have done nothing but feed dos,cats and quail! Had I known you were on at 3 I woulda come down Jim! I was actually thinking about it but THOUGHT I would get back to sleep...two nights in a row now...my head was spinning with ideas for cages and what I was going to do about my scrapping weekend coming up and hay $$ and driving to Florida! My daughter and I taking a "quick" road trip to Florida. I talked to my brother yesterday to sing him happy birthday and he gave us some flat screen TVs! Ours is the old fat kind...he is an electronics freak and is on his 5th flat screen or something like that. He said the 50" wont ship but if we came down we could have it. So I called Carol and she will come and do chores while we are gone. Dh will just have to take care of the cats and dogs. I am going to surprise him with the TV for Christmas this year. It is way too big for our Living room but if he wants a big TV and I say yes we can get rid of the armoire that I love but it only fits like a 25" one....what can he say if I want more ?-whatever-? Right? So...gonna be putting some more miles on the Saturn! Man, I am going to owe Carol BIG!

Nice buck Brent! I agree with others...the grands are adorable...apple didnt fall too far from the tree with the GS either! I have to call about mine and see if it is processed yet...talked to the guy last week. You do your own right? For 50 bucks I decided I couldt go wrong...and I still have all my fingers! Glad the old eyes are working well! That looks like a different truck...did you trade up?

Yeah, about those canning jars with the white stuff on them?...I usually add some Cream of tartar to the processing water but that got on there from the sterilization water! I didnt want to add anything to it for sterilizing...they were new jars so I figured I would boil them a bit...that has never happened before. After they were all boiled I didnt want to wipe them off ya know? It will come off when I clean them up before labeling...just more work *sigh*

No CC we still didnt get that killing frost here! My basil is still green as it should be! I need to pick it today probably so I can get some pesto made for the kids...but I need to take the walnuts back to Sentry...buggy! Got them out of the cupboard after 2 weeks or so and the bag is crawling with bugs! Not even open and doesnt expire until dec 11. Guess that batch had a few too many insect eggs included!

Of course I have to get up to Jim's CHeese to get more fresh parmesan too....I never seem to get DONE!
Speaking of done...I have to finish this furniture move today...better get to it. Might have to eat a little soup first...41 outside and 59 in here...we usually dont turn our heat on until we cant stand it....one year when we had a working chimney and could burn wood it didnt get turned on until January! That was a good fuel year for sure....anybody know someone that would install a chimney liner? I have a guy that will help but he has never done one himself...really need to get that wood stove back to burning! But then I will have to move furniture again...see what I mean?

It is a rare Ford that the 3Pt doesn't creep.. Mine is real bad when the oil gets heated up.. I know I need a new pump, but $300 is a bit steep.. I had the pump apart when I redid the PTO clutch.. somebody had it put together with the rollers in backwards.. Now it works, but the walls are slightly worn..

Cind, we play Texas Hold 'Em.. everybody puts $10 into the kitty and the last 2 people standing split according to what chip count they have.. There are a couple of people who occasionally want to raise the ante to $20, or have re-buys.. I tell them to go ahead, and goodbye.. I don't have to get into high stakes to have fun.. If I want that kind of excitement, I go to the Casino and get into a $30 game with a bunch of strangers.. Then I don't mind taking their money..

Yes, we found the duck's nest.. Then this morning I looked out and saw a buff duck at the drinking pan.. I told Annie, that looks like a different Buff to me.. She said "yes, it is".. Yesterday I told her we had 4 hens.. she didn't believe me.. Now we have another nest to find..

Sure has been a while since I have been on here. School started and I am super busy with that 4 days a week and then studying and such. We started the barn addition a couple weeks ago and that is going smooth too.

I do have two roosters (bantam Cubalayas) if anyone would be interested in them. Free.

I GOT MY FIRST EGGS THIS MORNING!!!! There were 4 fresh eggs in the nest boxes this morning when I went to let chickens out of the coop. I know one of the hens that layed, but I have to figure out the others. The one for sure was one of my golden buffs... Kids and I are very excited

Well, chat again soon! Hope everyone got their garden harvests off and that Dr.H has enough wood for the winter... things are getting chilly out there!
