Good Windy Morning Everybody! Tr1 and now begins your journey. Kinda breezy for a kilt I would think! GR65 congrats on the hatchlings! A lot of sick kids this time of year, hope they all feel better soon! Bigz and others ironwood makes for a great whackin stick. You can whack anything and it won't break. Rai butter, sugar think that kid is gonna be a baker.

Well took a ride to the mower dealership yesterday. Suspicions confirmed

Would cost nearly a grand to replace the rear end, new mower $1500. Think I'll keep this one for parts.

Didn't get much done yesterday so have to make up for it today.

Good Morning everyone,
well 1 baby is still shell bound and I can't examine the last 3 eggs yet to see if they are pipped, the babies have been moved to the brooder, way too cramped in there and they were rolling the other eggs every where, including the 1 trying to hatch, it was upside down this morning , seems fine for the scramble though, at least seems to be breathing. Now that I took out shells and babies my temp, doesn't want to come back to 99.3 like it was at before..........is that normal? should I turn it up a bit to make up for the extra heat lost when others were removed?
The humidity is still pretty high and dewy looking in there,
Why didn't anyone warn me that the bator takes on a smell of it's own after hatch............?? yucky and messy in there, they certainly do make a mess at there coming out party as stated by someone yesterday LOL
So how long should I let those last 3 eggs go before candling them to see if they are alive? today is day the 23rd day.
so I will get better pictures later, I'm just trying to get them to eat or drink something, but will do a good once over later and take some close ups, these are not so good through the cover wire, but they are cute none the less, looks like 2 have the EE muffs

Isn't the smell horrible?! I have to clean out my hovabator too. MAJOR bleach is needed, yuck!

These guys on here have told me let eggs go until day 25.

Morning all...just getting a little coffee in before heading out on the road trip. I was hoping for s sunny day...no such luck. I guess I will keep Tommy and Co in for today again. I might move Tina and him to the basement room for the day though...it is awfully small in their little dog kennel! Eli and the twins need to move too...they are way too big for the chick TV now...he nearly can bump his head on the top screen. It seems like ever since I had them outside they cant stand the confinement of the tank--I can sure understand that! Guess they can all go into the basement together....

DD is giving me advice on the easiest way to get to the alley behind DD20s BFs place...I have to drop her wallet off with him cause she forgot it in DD26s car last weekend! Sheesh--I swear the girl would forget her head if it wasnt attached...she always seems to be losing or forgetting stuff!

Oh yeah...the sunnseems to be peeking out now! The nasty looking raincloud must have passed by to the East. Still dont think I will chance putting the babies out though...since I will be gone all day.
Speaking of: better get a move on!

Windy Morning All!
It's nice and chilly here! I'm in heaven!
The Girls are rather put out that it's been cold and cloudy. They were all ready for some serious summer fun and "poof!" away their plans go! LOL!!
Buzzy is not happy either. She looks at me like I personally made it cold again.
The Rabbits are happy though. I like happy cool rabbits....

I got all caught up reading. What a lot of new news.

Apyl the baby pictures are really cute. Your chickens look like you are going to have a pretty flock there. Looks like you have a girl and boy rock maybe??
I think baby muskovies have a little bean on the end of their beak where as other ducks don't. I bet that hatchery doesn't have muskovies.

Yesterday morning I had a bad surprise. Apparently someone

left a couple doors open the other night. Bummer my black silkie roo seems to have spent the night outside. I openned the main coop door in the morning and went to get water inside. By the time I went back out one of the cochins had ripped off half of Bummer's comb. That is when I realised he had to have been outside all night. I put him under a heat lamp and fed him some scrambled eggs.2 of my EEs had escaped and my EE rooster was way up in the attic over by "his" hens. And everyone was a cackling and a screaming. Wow what a morning!

On a brighter note, Sunday I got a lot of yard work done and I planted 15 sq ft of dandelions, some lettuce, a small row of radishes, a bit of tatsoi, collards, and upland cress. I expect it all to come up even with the little cold snap we are having.

GhostRider the chickies are cute. I have 7 new additions that just hhatched also. Am waiting on a few more pips . It is excruciating. Waiting waiting. One of my splashes is really wide and can't walk yet, poor thing. I put him in a mitten to keep him from frustrating himself and he should be ok in a couple of days.

I seriously took my student loan papers, insuarnce, bank info ect and they said they dont accept those as proof of residency. They want a Wisconsin payroll check , utilities but not propane or TV, and an in state bank. The electric is in my moms name since she owns the place and the electric company wanted $300 deposit to change the name over, my bank is in Illinois since I bank online, and I dont work. DH got his DL right away since he had his payroll check. We were told DH could sponsor me but then he would have to take an unpaid day from work. ugh its been a headache. So now that we filled taxes I'm really hoping the tax papers will prove I live here.
