How's the kitty feeling BL?
Aw so many sickie chickies too! How are yours doing Hens&Roos?
BBP, must be rather amazing to get to know a new horse! Hope he and your son make a love connection!
Rain all over the place here near east of Madison too! Digging up the water wings per BL. Rain all over the place means the kitchen ceiling is dripping again... greeeeaat. This is the year we can afford to re-roof, so if it'll hang on just a month or so longer....
Gosh yesterday was such a super fun day!
Terri came over and we didn't stop yammering for 4 hours...
That means we had fun
She declared our chicken tractor not a chicken tractor at all but a chicken Taj Mahal on wheels!
So I guess we did reasonably well! Will post pix when it's not raining all over the Chick Taj. Terri and Chloe, my girl, and I went stomping around in our woods and Terri squealed in glee every time she came across ... what mushrooms were those again Terri? No, not morels -couldn't find those elusive buggers. Noooooo not hallucinagens, people, put that out of your mind. We had a blast
And THEN, went over to Hens&Roos and they have our very first ever chickens for us!!!! Sweeeeeeet!!!!!!!! Such a lovely time hanging with Cheryl's clan. Her kids are so marvy. The occurrence that I think best sums up her youngest boy was all of us being distracted by a loud repeated noise. Turning around to find her youngest bashing his Tonka-esque truck with a wiffle bat.
Just because he's a boy. Boy=loud noise with dirt on it. Awesome
Chloe had a blast with the kids. And Cheryl's hubs, Doug, and my hubs, Ben, did some male bonding over a chunk of tractor or some such. Vive la difference! Love it!
Such lovely folks. Ben has a chance of wanting to come up to the Bash now! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Muwah Muwah Muwah you guys!!!! I gave up all hope!
So we'll add the roost to the Chicken Taj and a few other details and hopefully pick up the four 2-3ish month old chickies tomorrow. Hope the rain abates!
Be well all!
