One last check-in on the puter, then I am taking a shower and heading out.. will stop on the way for milk and a beverage..

I have 4 guineas and 4 delawares in a box in the car in the shade.. I have to find a spare water jug for them for the trip, yet..

Brian brought a few dozen eggs for me to hatch.. I hope they can wait until Sunday.. he picked up his brother's chicks this morning.. and he has picked out his puppy .. going to get it next week.. It is a bit early, but he knows how to take care of puppies.. anybody else I would make wait a couple more weeks..

OK , next stop is at the bash.. seeya..

Must be nice to be packed and ready. DH is still working on the horse fence. He got out of work early and of course they didn't bring him his check either !!! To top it off my ATV crashed. Lost my cel phone in the yard, but found it finally. No where near ready. DH told me to go down by myself and he would tend to everyone else. Yah right, he forgets. Needless to say I am a bit stressed. Looks like we may not make it until real late tonight or tomorrow morning !! Or if the fence doesn't get fixed not at all !! I can't be gone over night with horses getting out, although I'm sleeping while they are, but you know !!!

Already hot in hear, doesn't help with the incubators running. Hope my mood inproves, which I'm sure it will when I finally get down there and see everyone !!

tiki I had the neatest ever chicken experience today that I think I've ever had too.The hen that has been getting picked on that I've saved from certain death many times. [Same one that had it's head stuck between the pipe] came up on the picnic table while Donny and I were working on his weed eater and allowed me to pet her. The whole day she got tamer and tamer, she is now a permanent replacement for Brownie. She falls asleep while petting her and followed me down the driveway to get the garbage cans. She comes up between my arms and lays down while sitting at the table. And cleaned my head, beard, eyebrows, and arms of grass after mowing the yard.

She's such a good girl! Or maybe a boy. Either way IT loves me! But in just few hours that chicken won my heart! Suppose I'll have to spoil THAT one too.

Bash questions D oes anyone know if there is a place to plug in a crockpot? (I can heat up over fire-just need to plan on what dish/pan to bring) Also does anyone know if Jim is making pancakes GF or should I bring GF Pancake mix?

Angie the camp has a fully stocked kitchen, you should be fine with your crock-pot.... I thought maybe TO was bringing the GF pancake mix but probably should bring some just in case.

Chocolate cake is in the oven, getting ready to frost the carrot cake and then jump in the car. Hoping to leave here by 7:30...... and yes I have the cherries ready on the counter.
